Warmer (and drier) than a car boot, they let you put up posters advertising event, Whats on section of papers list for free, if it's a large hall you can even make money by selling more tables, you may not make a fortune but every bit helps.
That's a cracking idea. There are no local car boot sales around here, but a lot of community halls that can be hired out really cheaply, might also be able to make money selling tea and cakes at the same time. Will look into this. Thx.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Bingo Britain can they do this?
I won £30 yesterday put in a withdrawl straight away cash balance £0, now today my cash balance is £30 as they have reversed my withdrawl request.
Now if i go to withdraw it's saying i have to wait 72 hours and i bet then that it's £50 to withdraw and i can't deposit either as it's saying my cash balance is too high to deposit.
Have i lost my winnings?0 -
I did one last year and made £20 on tables and took around £50 selling. Not a lot but it was lousy weather and at least we were dry.
If it could be done as a regular thing more people tend to turn up, word of mouth is a great thing!
This year i WILL have savings!0 -

Have you done this? Only I'm pretty sure for any commercial venture of this sort (i.e. not a party or similar) halls will require you to have liability insurance. I run things at halls as part of my business and they require me to have £5M in insurance.0 -
I dont think its daft, I have been thinking of doings this but would hate it if no-one turned up so havent had the courage so far.
I have found a local scout group that holds an indoor table top sale (in a local school), the next one is at the end of jan but I may see how that goes and then look into doing one of my own
I found this one online on the website for my local paper under events, another good place to advertise.
You could also donate some of the profit to a local charity and use that as part of your promotion.
Or join forces with someone else and do it together, maybe someone from this challenge in the same area?julie_toots wrote: »Might sound like a daft idea but if you booked village hall/community centre for around 4 hours (our local one charges £10 p.h). Can someone please explain the Bingo Britain thing for me? I want to join but have no idea how the bonus system works. If it's easier to PM me then I'm happy for that.
Thanks!
