Messy but quite effective..either washing up liquid on a slightly damp cloth..or rub half a potato on inside of windscreen. Doesn't stop it altogether, but helps a lot.

Works a treat that! I used to ride a motorbike in my teens and always rubbed my helmet visor with Fairy. It NEVER misted :D
  • Spit is another good thing for small areas like a visor. Or goggles etc...
  • You can get a demisting treatment called rain-x about £7 from halfords that you put on the inside of your windows and they don't mist up so much, I used it on mine and it worked quite well although it really stinks and I think it has some nasty chemicals in it. Plus I put it on the outiside without realising oops. Halfords do their own but its nowhere near as good apparently. Make sure you get the de-mister though, they also do an anti rain one which goes on the outside. The other thing is if its really bad you might have a leak so check under any car mats you have to see if theres a problem there. Think it might be an age thing though, my 97 corsa does it a lot.

It's Fog-X for prevention of window misting.

I had this problem yesterday, and I wiped my windows with a cloth (see my previous post). Also when driving home I put the heating on as hot as possible and when the car was bone dry I opened the windows to expell the air in the car which might have been holding moisture. When I got home I took the cloth out of the car and dried it.

Tonight on my return to my car, the windows inside were almost dry and nothing to write home about in terms of condensation on the inside.
  • I find it helps if you ensure the glass is clean and free from grease etx.
get a vinegar glass cleaner from supermarket or wilkinson's and spray glass clean with a paper towel and trhen go over with a dry clean duster.

Now when my screen gets misted 30 secs with the blower on clwears a treat.
  • i have a sort of sponge bought from halford for 2 quid.. sort of leather one.
as soon as i get in, wipe of and go ! its like one of these clothes that you dry the car profesionaly when you wash outside
