I'm making christmas morning muffins this year using a Nigella Lawson recipe. Going to make them on christmas eve so will just have to warm them in the morning.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

Found it here. It sounds really christmassy and will impress DD to get a 'cake' for breakfast.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0 -
We have a brunch, at about 7am, as the kids are up EARLY
Normally scrambled egg on toast with streaky bacon. Or pancake stacks.
Helps to absorb the alcohol for the adults. And stops the kids picking at loads of rubbish. My mum cant understand how they always clear their plates on Xmas day (thinking they must have eaten a shopfull of chocolate)0 -
We normall have lunch around 12 noon / 1pm so a big breakfast has proven too much in the past. Last year was pan au chocolate and fruit juice. This year OH just wants his normal smoothie and I'll probably just have some too.2013 Free Money - £363.44 Topcashback

I always make a huuuuuuuuuge fruit salad on Christmas Eve, which we keep in the garage overnight - it's so cold there is no need to refridgerate! Usually includes strawberries, grapes, oranges, melon, pineapple, apple and banana. It's yummy with some Greek yoghurt, takes no time to eat and leaves room for the Xmas dinner which we start on at about 1pm. In previous years we used to go visiting and needed to be out of the house by 9am so a speedy breakfast was required. Now it's a tradition!0

When I lived with my parents we always used to have croissants, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and sausages!
But now that I have my own house, we have wine for breakfast! I've always found that Xmas dinner tastes better when I've already had about 4 glasses! Hee hee!!0 -
We have a platter of warm pastries - croissants, pain aux raisins, pecan twists etc with fresh strawberries and a glass of bubbly (for dipping the stawberries in! hic!

This is my first year with just me and OH - usually at my mums I just grab some toast or whatever is handy. My plan for this year is to have some croissants with jam, some pain au chocolat and bucks fizz before presents. Will get OH to do that while I set out presents. After presents have got some posh sausages as well as bacon and muffins etc followed by christmas dinner at about 3 or 4.0
