            Go East London0

I used to live in the London borough of Newham, I can assure you that there are plenty of non-white faces there (try Stratford or Forest Gate rather than East or West Ham). I currently live in Bradford where again there is a good ethnic mix, you could try Birmingham or Leicester. It's very sad to say but you will find racists everywhere you go. IME the most prejudiced seem to be the UK equivalent of white 'trailer trash' and young Asian lads who have been born in Britain (obviously not all of either group!!). totally agree but also Tower Hamlets, I used to live in Bow & Devons Road. I felt out of place most of the time lol
Okay Bow is expensive but areas around it aren't
 Tower Hamlets LHA is £1060

Why do I sense a  here, something doesn't quite add up.
The OP is insisting they suffer racial abuse all over the UK except London. And they only care about living in Southwark and are willing to pay 3 months upfront for a room they haven't seen?0

Was thinking the same to be honest, the race card seems a strange one. There are many places in this country, insisting a specific area of one city is the only place you'd feel comfortable is a very weird premise when you simply hate the town you are currently in. The midlands is very racially friendly, especially some areas of B'Ham, and there are quite a few areas of the country that are far from racist in general. Every area has some !!!!!!!s, but most people are actually decent.
I suspect there is an alterior motive for the move, otherwise you'd move anywhere to get out of a bad situation.0

I'm going to see it on monday though, I said so in black and white on page 2 of the thread.
I've been planning the move for 2 years, I had to save enough money first. You know, instead of moving down to one of the most expensive places in the world with no money.
But no that's right, I made up all the abuse I've endured. And I'm a criminal on the run. Or something.0

I haven't insisted on any place. I'd live in Mayfair if i could afford it, wouldn't I. I think Southwark looks good because it's central, not as expensive as the North of the river and due to not being on the outskirts of the city it won't hold me back from an employer giving me a job, as on forms they ask how long it would take you to get to work.
I explained all this in the thread. So stop being a !!!!!!.
What motive btw? Go on let's hear it.0

How would I know your motive? Its just strange that you claim racial abuse is the reason you must live in Southwark, yet there are many places other than Southwark you could live. Where else have you tried? What skills do you have that will get you a job there rather than somewhere else, is that the best place for you to look? I saw no mention of the sort of job you hope to get, surely you'd look at your skillset and find employers that could take you on. I'd never move to find a job, but I'd always move when I've found one.
Or maybe its just that you want to pick and choose where you live on taxpayers money, despite already having a place to live? Maybe its that it seems so much like the dreams people have in books, I'll move to the city and then I'll be fine. I'm guessing there are an awful lot of people in Southwark already without jobs, what makes you better than them? Because you'll need to be to land a job there.
Sorry, but what you've said just seems to read wrong. Its almost as if you decided on the place then worked out reasons for it. I may be wrong, but thats just how it comes across.0

Not where I come from. And aswell as that I am outnumbered about 5000/1 in my area. Probably more.
As I said in the thread that you clearly didn't bother to read, I don't care about anyone's opinion on this particular matter unless they're an ethnic minority themselves. I know what's happened. Easy to sit behind a screen and say all areas are full of good people and that I am making something out of nothing.
Why move from here to somewhere else that's just the same. So "anywhere" won't do, mate. Has to be London or i am wasting my money and time.0

Why do you keep saying Southwark? I told you, and said numerous times, that it has to be London. Not southwark. And weighing it up, southwark looks a good option due to the reasons I've stated about 4 times. If I hit the lottery tomorrow I won't be moving there. There'd be no need. I could live in a mansion in Chelsea.
I feel I will take my Degree and past work exp, and be able to get a job easier if i am based down there. I don't know why I am going to alot of this effort though to explain to you. You clearly have an agenda. You are probably some middle class 'English' person who has never had any trouble or suffered at all by living in a horrible area. Infact the area I live in is decent-ish, but full of scumbags. & not decent or comfortable FOR ME because I am a minority. So i have been forced out. Do I expect you to understand? No, only a black/asian person will. Doubt there are many who post here mind.0

Err, what makes you think I'm not Asian?
Horrible area? Grew up on a sink estate pal. Dad fooked off when I was 9, left my mum with 4 kids on benefits living under Thatcher. Think you've got it bad? You're having a laugh. The fact is you are on benefits, its not about what you want. Why should you be allowed a place for free that a person actually working on minimum wage can't afford? That is just plain wrong.
The race card is a load of bull, only one of the PC brigade will give a damn. The fact is we're all in this together, regardless of race, and moaning about it does you no good. Outnumbered 5000/1, what are you an Amazonian Pygmy? I live in a fairly small town yet have dated an Egyptian, an Italian and a Colombian in the past few years. The Polish and Iraqi communities here seem quite well established, and the Indian/Pakistani families have been here longer than a lot of the whites have.
Enjoy London. You do realise they have to have a special unit down there for black on black crime? Race don't mean a thing, anyone can be a target.0
