Hello. I dont know if i m in the right forum but my oh has a huge problem.
He was stoped by the police for not indicating and basically did a id search on him and it came up with him having 12 points on his licence which is not right. He called DVLA and they told him about six offences he apparently committed but he didnt. What do we do??????
Also theres an outstanding balance of a fine which is news to us. Is ther a letter we can write or someone we can contact.
Please any comments are appreciated:D

Why the big grin smilie at the end?
You make out you are worried then use a smilie that seems to indicate the opposite.0 -
He needs to see a decent solicitor and pronto rather than relying upon an anonymous internet forum.0

you must ask the police or dvla for information on the offences and the court that dealt with them
then contact the courts to get full details
you will then have to ask to go before the courts involved (they may allow it to be done locally)and give evidence and swear on oath that it was not you.
If they accept this they will 'quash' all the convictions,
but beware you would be in very deep doggy do do if they later find out that you lied(perjury)IMOJACAR

My advice is given from personal experience, but it will cost you nothing if a local solicitor does a 'free' first consultation to give peace of mindI

Shame on you0 -
once they get the details from dvla,it is pretty easy to get the info from the court concerned,
the proof of innocence could be harder as they would have to prove to the court that they were not involved in any way with the offences, and as time passes that gets harder.
In my case I was lucky that the vehicle involved in the offences had been sold on my behalf while I was living in Spain so could prove that I was not in the UK at the stated day/timeIMOJACAR

Bit of a long shot I know but have you moved recently or maybe not so recently and not informed DVLA of a change of address?
I ask because this happened to me last year, not to the extent of 12 points but it was entirely my own fault
I moved house and didn't inform DVLA of my change of address until a week later.
Turns out I'd been caught speeding the day after I'd moved so the letter and fine were sent to my old address
I only found out after I was pulled over for having a back lightoutFuture Mrs Gerard Butler
