            The engineering support services side of the BBC was really highly regarded in the past. How true that is now I don't know.
 I heard the same thing in the past (20 years ago).
 I'm not sure something as niche as that could be described as the envy of the world. The envy of the engineering community or something may be better???0

 I work in the education sector now. I am gobsmacked to learn that 1 union in particular (UCU) is balloting for strike action as they want a pay rise of 6%! :eek:
 I'm just glad to have a job. I'm amazed at the unrealistic mindset of some people...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
