Toptip? email them! They cancelled my order and didn't even bother to tell me until I asked several weeks later!

I agree - really poor customer service. I emailed them to ask about my order and have still not had a response. Everything I ordered is out of stock according to the order history on my account.
  • I received my order yesterday - contour pants (love them - really good fit), the wide jeans in an 8L (spot on) and the half-zip hoodie in cream. Really pleased with all of the items. HOWEVER...I returned an item on 29th Dec for a refund (the dreaded fair isle cardi) and they say they haven't received it yet. I have proof of postage so I hope that's enough. I returned another item last week via recorded delivery so I hope that makes it. I agree that their Customer Service is not great.

Well, according to my account, the items were despatched on the 8th. I was expecting notification-silly me!

Given the 'up to five days' for standard delivery, they should've been here by yesterday...fingers crossed for today then!
  • Bought some stripy t shirts and they are great! :D

Got some jogging bottoms but they have a hole in the crotch seam - not a good look. Rang and said I wanted my returns postage paying but apparently this is not guaranteed. Have ordered another pair before they go out of stock - hope these aren't faulty.

Put them on ebay. I'm sure they'll be a market for them!:D

Well, my order didn't come today...

Take care with your returns people - Ellie Gray are saying they can't find mine (the fair isle cardi that I returned before Xmas so potentially £20 down the drain). Might be as well to send them recorded delivery, although I did get proof of posting. I've got to wait another week before I can take it any further. Grrr.

    Hi Frankie,

If you have a proof of posting then you should be able to claim the £20 from the Royal Mail compensation scheme.
You do need to wait a while to see if it turns up though, I don't think they'll take a claim for 14 days.

I also sent some stuff back with proof of posting but not recorded delivery.
I'd try not to worry and give it a while.
If you get documentation from Ellie Gray saying it's lost, then Royal Mail ought to pay out.

Thanks! I will sit tight for a bit and try not to worry. I imagine they have got a backlog after Xmas, what with the snow.

thanks for the heads up re the fairisle cardy!
Left me wondering though, is all the other knitwear just as bad? Got my eye on the super soft empire cardi.

I got that one in Camel,.......the colour looks ok in the photo but is pretty awful in reality. icon9.gif

The grey empire cardi is very pretty and warm but designed for people with small chests - size 20 looks a bit stretched and is normally a good baggy fit.

A huge thank you to all who post the comps and deals that make life so much fun!
