to wrap or not to wrap!!

I was having a conversation with my mum the other day about wrapping presents. She was telling me that she used to just leave mine and my brothers presents from Santa in a big pile in the living room unwrapped. I always wrap mine from Santa for DD apart from the main present (which this year is a bike). Usually she is there for hours opening all the wrapping paper, so this year i was thinking of not wrapping. I was just curious as to what other people do?
Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!

we always wrap i just love sitting there wrapping pressies and then to see my girls faces when theyve ripped off wrapping is pricesless. i think if they were left unwrapped it would take some of the excitment away, although it would save some time

I always wrap..... its the look on their faces when the paper comes off.... couldn't just leave them in a pile, it wouldn't feel like Christmas.

Wrap definitely. Some of our relatives send gifts for the children unwrapped and I find this really odd.

Oh, I thought this was gonna be a thread about wrapping other presents - the little ways you make them all pretty and such :o:( Yes, I'm sad :)

Anyhoo, no I don't wrap presents from Santa. They're left on the sofa and she still gets the same excitement when she knows santa's been.

Ours weren't wrapped when we were kids - they only got wrapped when we got older and the presents got more expensive, but smaller.

ETA: Every other present is wrapped, btw! Anything she gets from me is wrapped and left under the tree, along with anything she gets from anyone else. It's just Santa presents that aren't wrapped.

  • I find that really odd not to wrap a present  We are all different and have different ways of doing things but i personally wrap all of mine. I def think half the excitment is unwrapping to see what you have. For me that would be like christmas with no Turkey

Wrap definetly with all the beautiful paper around and bows, makes the presents look fab and builds up the excitement to unwrap them, not wrapped? Never:D

I wrap everything, but this year, i am leaving my daughter's stereo out, setting up and switching it on with the remote so she can wonder where the music is coming from etc, doing the same with my other daughter's phone, we're going to hide it in her room and ring it :rotfl: Everything else will be wrapped tho!

you can still wrap the phone but make sure you turn the volume of the phone right up. You could even put a christmas ring tone on it:T
