Nope didn't know that, I have an MBNA so could maybe apply for a virgin? And whilst he has a virgin he could apply for an MBNA???? mmmm another possible avenue that might be worth exploring.

Also as we've both used the free credit report offer, i'm guessing the cheapest way to obtain these is by post??

Yes exactly, that's the way to go. Usually additional MBNA cards have lower limits but not always.... do you have high limit with MBNA/Virgin just now? (not balance, limit?)

You should follow advice in the credit reference agency link I posted, all the addresses are there and they cost £2 each if you request via post (statutory report).... :D

My MBNA has a limit of 2400( not great but it covered what I needed it for - a BT) balance of £1500 0% till Jan
His virgin limit is £5700. Balance of £5000 with interest at 29.9%

Yes i will read that later with a cup of tea, I've started going squiffy eyed cos i've been on comp too long. So will bookmark that for a later read.
Again many thanks, will post back if and when I get OH to call Egg with any news, cos I'm still curious as to what they actually hold on him!!

    Never in doubt

Not that you prob give a flying fig but I thought I'd up date you.
He called Egg today and resolved the issue. Apprently on 10 August 2002 OH set up an egg account??? Quite why he would have done this it a bit of a mystery, as he's certainly never had an egg card. Maybe he had to set an account up when he applied ( he may well have applied for a card in the past)
Anyway CS have said they will reset everything and he can re apply should he wish too.
