Not too much to report I don't think. I got downstairs at 10.30, but am ready for work. Wrote a post about purchases for Xmas wreaths in the Kirsty thread.

Last night I hung the winter curtains, hope they will keep the place a bit warmer. That's the problem with having so much window in the sitting area.

No mice this morning. I wish they would make up their minds whether they're bothering or not.

Got work this afternoon for a couple of lessons. General clear up here I think. DH home tomorrow.

DOn't know what we'll have for dinner, says pizza on the board, but we do have loads of eggs, so ds might like eggy bread and I'll have some scrambled or something.

Hope you all have a good day - onward!

    Morning all (just),

Its a bright sunny morning here in Englands smallest County, rather cold....

Dog walked, cats fed, beds changed sheets etc on the line for a blow........bedroom and en-suite cleaned ready for B & B's tonight.

We will be on our way home via Dunlem later this afternoon........need to put the padlock on my purse LOL, I always manage to find something to buy there. I am looking for folk art stuff for the kitchen, we have a wall thats looking rather bare!!!

No light pollution here especially with the shutters closed and curtains drawn, so slept well, woke just after 8am to find that the dog had pee'd on the mat in the playroom.....I think she might have a bit of a problem, she seemed to be weeing more than usual when we took her out, so left a message on the note pad along with all the others.

Oil man was here just after 8.30 with oil for the heating and Aga......how I love that Aga!!!! the kitchen is so toasty warm.........and last night roasties were divine, nothing does roast spuds like an Aga. Quick buy a lottery ticket new house, new Aga............

We had been drooling over this http://www.vebra.com/property/9078/19004744, we cannot afford it mores the pity, its in a superb situation and has been done up to a very high standard. If I was paying that in rent we could be paying that off a mortgage, not that we could get one at our age!!!
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
  • Morning all :hello:

It's quite a nice bright day here in Worcester.

I've just cleaned the loo and the bathroom. It doesn't take long (very small rooms) but when I've done it I really feel like I've accomplished something!

Breakfast today was granary bread and jam for the kids. I had some granola.

Lunchboxes have cheese sandwiches (with ready-sliced Edam!!), flapjacks and fruit.

I shall have some cauliflower and cheese soup with some bread and fruit.

Supper tonight will be brown rice with leeks, peas, carrots, mushrooms and bacon (and any other veg I can get in there).

TiredMum- big hugs. Your message got me a bit as I am also 31. How terribly sad. :(

Haribo - hugs to you too lady.

    can't remember anything else, sorry!:o

Last night I intended to make dried oranges but never got round to it so will do that tonight. Last nights dinner was pasta from friend, so no cooking. WOOPEEE!

Today I am very disoragnised. canteen toasted soda for brek, lunch is I treated myself to a bacon sandwich. Dinner - have nothing organised, so heaven knows.

Was supposed to be doing voluntary work today in Marks and Spencers, but waiting on other people to organise it so doesn't look like it is going to happen.

Wrapping presents for Clic Sargent tonight - first night and am quite excited. Typical i woke with a headache and feel dizzy. It's my TOTM which makes my pain go through the roof, so my legs and thighs and back are in bits. Typical ! :rotfl: It's only two hours..

Freecycled a TV, box of tiles, CD holder and a pile of magazines so have 3 people calling tonight after 8 to collect. One guy is coming tomorrow for the tiles - he put his wife on the phone, and she had seen my wool request, so is giving me some wool and also offered me a knitting machine?! I said yes, can't do any harm . At this rate I have all the machinery to become a full scale dressmaker, now all I need is the talent to match . I offered a TV, long story short, after i arranged it this man asked -and i felt really sorry for him from his email, so have arranged for him to get Mums spare tele . he was so touched - he is a handy man by trade, and he said in return to let him know if I need anything fixed. I thought that was so lovely, i'm actually welling up thinking about it. His second kid is due in January, and I get the feeling they don't have much money. His Mum is coming out of hospital and moving in with theh son - and they are looking after her, so I'm glad to be able to help someone in need so much. Awwww:o

Going to try to make twirly crochet keyrings.

    Hugs and hellos to all.xxx

    Hi,
I took Ds1 shopping today to get him some much needed clothes and shoes for xmas. I do this every year, individually with each of my 4 kids. He was grumpy to start with as i insisted on starting early as I cant park otherwise but he warmed up as we went along and was very sweet when I had a bit of a "do" in a clothes shop. Not so OS day though unlike yesterday! DD has definitely an eye for a bargain whereas DS has very expensive tastes especially in bookshops!! I think Im getting there now with shopping. Need to assemble presents into piles to make sure its equal. DS2 has not got so much but has an IOU for the next year as his birthday is only a month before xmas. Im actually looking forward to xmas now...kind of.

Just having a cuppa and listening to news then need to organise the washing and get some dusting done. My cleaner has done the heavy stuff for me. Quick tea tonight as have DD college feedback.

My parents have bought me a new Guinea Pig so have to collect that too. I was debating about getting a replacement but just left it feeling really guilty as my other pig was very sad. Anyway they have got me a new one - just hope they get on. Really they are my son's pets but I got very attatched and was very upset when one died recently. Got to think of a festive name????

    Oh Im chuntering on.....
Hug for those who need them,
    Lots of love,
    Mollyxxx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Done my jobs! Visited Morries and got a #6.50 leg of pork, mixed fresh veg (pots, carrots, sprouts), 2 pots of tom soup, and a trifle for #4.00 - bargain! Will mince pork to use in my sausages!

Then onto Mr T's, got dd1's stuff in there, a large piece of beef for #10, some other reduced bits and bobs, including a gammon, and handed over a wad of vouchers - woohoo! Managed to pick up some stocking fillers on my trip too, Lynx bullets in Morries for #1, and an Optimus Prime for #2.97 in Mr T's! Getting there!

Put shopping away, meat out in freezer, and bunged a chook in oven to roast cos I have no freezer space and it needs cooking! Kids will be sick of roast meats soon! Pizza dough is in and unfort there was only enough flour for a couple, so kids will have to make do with the chicken - dd2 and dd3 have been doing a lot of baking in the new oven I think!

Good news is I found a gingerbread man cutter for 99p in Morries, so dd2 will be happy, and I'm happy cos I can spend tomorrow afternoon making ninjabread men!

Kitchen is still a disaster zone, but dd1 can sort that out, and then others can do their cooking stuff that they left too! ds is back home and in bed, had to collect him from school as he feels sick - ha, not so sure I believe that! Anyway I relented and did his hoovering! I have now done loads of washing and cleaned the bathrooms and walked the dog and tidied the hall and sitting room and dining room.

Time for a cuppa and surf before dd3 arrives home I think, have a good evening all, I'm looking forward to cinema and pizza! xx

ps Haribo, hope all is okay and you get it reorganised for a better time x

  • Hi all
Ok, so I lost my temper, burst into the Bursar's office, told her I was fed up with moving F'ing paper, that I didn't care what sort of F'ing Mexican stand off the F'ing caretakers were having but that if they didn't get off their F'ing !!!!!'s & get some F'ing paper in my room I was F'ing going home & so I got paper delivered, but why is nothing done till I'm at screaming pitch? Unfortunately the Bursar had a visitor, who is from our council & is something to do with caretaking, when I paused for breath he went 'ooooeeerr' so I turned on him too & asked how he'd feel if it was his wife expected to carry 15kg boxes around, I also suggested I be given a job as a caretaker then I could sit on my !!!!! all day instead of working so bloody hard!
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    evening!

the visit to DS and his partner went well:j Mum was great!:T
Not done much OS today - no time to do much at all. My car was repaired and luckily didn't cost too much:j

Tiredmum - how sad for your dads friends to lose their daughter. My friend died from ovarian cancer just 2 months after diagnosis a year ago. It is a sadly undiagnosed cancer in many cases until it is too late.

have a nice evening all x
    Do what you love :happyhear

It's about time too Hester that you got your f-ing paper! Just hope you don't get into bother for sticking up for yourself. It won't do the caretaking powers that be any harm to know how things really are.

editing PS. your blog will make interesting reading for today.
