Look out for a book entitled 501 days out for kids in the UK and Ireland. It's a large solid hardback. RRP £25. Then a £6red sticker on the cover. SEL 99p in the clearance area, went through till @ 50p.

I'll give this to B & M, they certainly know how to do good reductions. In the past few months I've had Baxter soups, Barton's mustard, Maille Pepper sauce, Jaffa Cakes, Breakfast Biscuits and, best of all, cartons of Heinz Tomato Frito, all reduced to 10p. Oh and how could I forget the English Provender Co Redcurrant Sauce, wish I had bought more of that it was delicious. My DH can't understand why I take so long in the first aisle but it's so I don't miss any of the 10p bargains!

My local branch(connswater, Belfast) had a whole area of hardware itrems reduced to 10p /20p/50p etc.

Lots of screws, silicone tubes, fillers, nails etc also light switches etc for £1/£2 including dimmers.

It would make it easier to spot these good reductions if our store had a particular clearance area for groceries, but they are in their usual place on grocery aisle, with SEL showing reduced price. Takes me forever to work my way down!

The store I use doesn't have a clearance section nor does it show the reduced price on SEL I'm generally only aware of any possible price reductions because of this thread, so thank you everyone for all your info.

  • Connswater Store in Belfast is a B&M Home Store whereas our Newtownabbey store is a Bargain Store. Didn't realise they are different yet have the same name but the Home Stores seem to have more bargains and a clearance section which Newtownabbey don't seem to have. I was told they are moving into bigger premises and hopefully it will change to a B&M Home Store

Funny you should say that as today I walked by one of our local stores and noticed it said B & M HOMEstore and I thought to myself that I'd always thought it was called B & M BARGAINS !!!!!
