I have just discover this great thread. I remember the days when there was only a handful of b and m stores around the country. The one near me used to be full of coach trips come for the day. People used to queue for a good quarter mile so that they could get into the store. The good old days :rotfl:

I agree this is tasty, I also got and at 29p and saw this at 19p, the first one dated same as the lemon and the last 2 were dated end July, perfect opportunity to try something at a good price as I probably wouldnt have tried at full price.

Yes it is. The coach trips used to go mad on it then home bargains and other places sprang up and ruined it :rotfl::rotfl:

See, I just knew it was that store & no I wasn't on a coach!

I went on a regular basis years ago but as you say there are others to compete with it now, which is good for the customer!

Cleveley's will always be the first though! :dance:

I used to get dragged around the Cleveleys store by my mum..i hated it! It was always SO busy and you could hardly move in there with small aisles. Because we lived in the area we used to go ALOT!

Now i am older tho i love going to my local one which is alot bigger and better laid out haha!

Sadly my nearest Home Bargains is about 100 miles away. However, I have just found out that there is a B&M about half an hour away. Could anyone tell me what the B&M in Slough is like and if it is worth the journey?!

There is a new B & M store opening next Tuesday in March. It's where Focus was. I don't know the name of the road but it's opposite Tesco on Hostmoor Road. HTH.
