Thanks Funky Fairy for raising this idea.
Anyone know if the bottom oven of a 2 oven Aga would be okay for these? They sound delicious!
If I don't hear either way I will give it a go anyway as I have some apples leftover from Christmas. I am wondering about drying some cherry tomatoes that need using too.
I'll just have to remember they are in there! I have accidentally dehydrated many things in the past by leaving them in for days. Dried pizza is a challenge even for a dog with good teeth!0 -
The bottom oven of a aga is ideal.

I treated us all to a dehydrator for Christmas. It is quiet big to store but I've put it in the spare bedroom out of the way. It does seem very good, just apples so for as I had so many to use up.
DD offered to go to the market in her lunch hour so any advice about what is best is welcome.

I'm hoping that someone has a better memory than me....
A while back someone kindly posted their method of drying fruit to make apple rings etc. I would love to do this to use up some apples which are getting a bit past their best, unforunately I can't find the original post. I have done a search but couldn't find it. Can anyone help please ??It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.0
