OP is your springer a pedigree and if he is do you know what is his pedigree name is going to be?
My MIL english springer's pedigree name was going to be "Tregonissey Hawthorn" so she v sensibly named him "Prickle".....however when she went to collect him she discovered his name pedigree name had been changed as there was already another Hawthorn....so he is now Tregonissey Hobbleberry... but he is still called Prickle - which now makes noooooooooooo sense at all....
MIL moved abroad a couple of years ago and we adopted Prickle. It is so very embarrassing calling him across a field...people always ask what his name is three or four times before we establish that it isn't; pickle, pringle or fickle ....although he will answer to all of those....and donut, pest, smelly, stinky, muttley.....
Enjoy your springer whatever you end up calling him - they are an absolutely wonderfu & loyal addition to any family and do let us know what you decide!!!

About pet names... LOLA burglar broke into a home and was looking around. He heard a soft voice say, "Jesus is watching you". Thinking it was just his imagination, he continued his search. Again the voice said "Jesus is watching you". He turned his flashlight around and saw a parrot in a cage.
He asked the parrot if he was the one talking and the parrot said, "yes."
He asked the parrot what his name was and the parrot said, "Moses."
The burglar asked, "what kind of people would name a parrot Moses?"
The parrot said, "the same kind of people who would name their pit bull Jesus".0 -
My H2B wanted to call our first cat together Dot Catton or Ruth P Bannercheck..... not sure why, i think he thought that having a ridiculously normal human name was hilarious!! Also havent a clue what the P stands for!
Our two cats at the minute have ended up with middle names...
Honey Bee ( she will answer to Honey, Hon, Bee, Beatrice, Beeface, BizzleBee and Shut Up)
and
Mylo Percy (he answers to Mylo, Percy, Percypurrzles, Little Man and Angelface)
Wont it be fun when we have children!!What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
