You recourse is via the FSA as I siad before BH. It is illegal.
You havent threatened anyone or become violent? So why bar you? Just cos they dont want to deal with someone who knows thier rights.
Take it to the top & tell everyone wholl listen:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...

Here here. Get as much publicity as you can and name and shame. ge tthe FSA the FBI, MI5 anyone. MPs, though useless as a whole, have a lot of sway in things like this too. Get on to the Disabled Rights Commission watchdog everyone, How bloody dare they.
Stand outside the bank with a loud hailer and tell EVERYYYYYYYYONE who will listen. I hate bullies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a good day,

I'm in the process of claiming back my charges, if i so much as dare get treated this way, they will hear me in the head office in London lol.
I think I will write to Barclays Customer Service dept now and complain anyway, even though it weren't my bank.
If everyone on this thread with a Barclays account/card threatened to change I bet there would soon be action....... Just a thought.0 -
I agree with all of the above - but have the bank issued you with a banning letter? I believe that this is custom and practice as we had to do it when banning people from Sainsbury's when I worked there before. Otherwise, do the bank expect to enforce your ban? This just smacks of Barclay's sloppiness and insecurities at not having dealt with your issues correctly, and seems that the brach are just burying their heads in the sand. Don't let this go! Complain to the banks hq in the strongest possible way!Proud to be dealing with my debts!

OH MY GOD!!!!!
I'm shocked i work for a bank (not barclays) and we would never bar people from a branch. We can deal with angry, unpleasant, upset and even voilent people but we try and talk it out not refuse to serve the customer. The only time we would ask people to leave if they have committed a crime (Fraud etc) and the police are waiting for them outside.
My advise is to sit down and write a blow by blow account including descriptions / names of the people you dealt with. Also get copies of any statements that state the charges and any correspondance you get.
Write a letter of complaint and claim emotional and financial distress. And claim for the time you were in the bank, parking charges / lost wages.
Take this really far! complain to everyone, (maybe martin could support your case!)
According to the banking codeyou must start the complaints process through the banks internal procedures (otherwise you can't go to the ombudsman). You must get a written reply within 5 days of them recieving your complaint. My advise is to make an appointment at another branch with a manager who could handle your complaint. It is probably a Rouge bank manager at the branch you have had problems at.
Go to citzens advise and they should be ableto be an go between for you! If you want a copy of the banking code please pm me and I'll send you one.
Go get em!Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

Beats my all time achievement of being kicked out of guides (something I am still immensely proud of after 15 years!!)!!! Go girl!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Broken_hearted wrote:At this point the actual branch manager appeared and after yet again going through the problem and explaining everything, she managed to speak to someone who authorised the branch staff to transfer the money into my account. Great we thought its almost sorted, they left to go and sort things out then came back after 5:30 and said oh dear we have left it too late you will have to wait till Monday now.
So can anyone explain this to me.
Sounds like the manager just wanted to go home and couldn't be bothered with the hassle to be perfectly honest.0 -
