How much to tip at Xmas - and who? (and a poll)

I won't tip my postie - he's not the greatest & has been known to leave post hanging out of the letterbox several times, as well as being rude & ignorant when I'm coming out of the house as he walks up the 10 foot-long path!
Binmen usually get a tin of biccies - one for each of the 2 fortnightly-teams.
Window cleaner will get an extra £10.
Don't have a milk man or paper boy.0 -

I wouldn't want to get up at an unearthly hour to run behind a wagon in the cold/wind/rain and pick up rubbish.
forgot the window cleaner! l tip him £5

They shouldn't really do this...but it sounds like you have the postie from my old home, who I went to school with, who quietly let all our neighbours & the local Post Office & chemists know when my mum had died overnight & who would leave my parcels in the recycling bin - as long as it wasn't a Thursday!0 -
our postman is really nice he also leaves my parcels in safe place if not in so i dont have to go up 2 sorting office, though im a meany i dont tip no one is regular around our way apart from postman atm so wouldnt be sure if it were right peeps picking up tips:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

I don't tip the postie or the bin men - never see any of them and frequently have to clear up after both
I do however tip my beautician at christmas - girlie waxing is rather intimate and she's got to know me quite well now over the years .
I don't tip her at any other time though.Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Our bin men are the greatest. They take all my extra if i ask, and with a smile they bring me bin back. They get a couple of tins of roses and a pack of beer. (did ask bin men wine or beer)The postie again is brill couldnt ask for better he gets a nice bottle of wine.

I don't tip anyone unless I feel they have gone above and beyond their job description. I even wait for change from taxi's lol.
Mind you post is rubbish around here (never the same guy) and we don't have milk or a paper. the binmen don't do much these days, wheelie bins!! In fact they often stick the wheelie on the wrong drive or block the drive rather than putting it back where we put it. They drop bits on the road and won't even touch a bin unless the lid is completely down.

I dont have a paperboy and i dont tip anyone else on the list.
I feel they get a wage for the job they do so why should i be giving them extra.0 -
paperboys, deffo!
postie; different one each day!
Does anybody tip the binmen, I mean bin-operatives anymore?0 -
I don't really tip the usual suspects at chritmas. I send a box of chocolates downstairs to my neighbour who puts my bin out every week/fortnight without fail and another box of chocolates to the chemist who delivered my drugs when I was unable to leave the house.0
