Hi, I have been with my current provider for the last 5 yrs, I have past my contract ended date. I just wondering can I get Nokia E72 or Blackberry Bold 9700 on a £25(700mins 250 txt & internet) 12mths contract by renew or better off to sign a new contract with another provider?

Btw, apart from iphone(battery doesn't last), what other phones have a good internet feature?

Thanks in advance

I have been offered blackberry 8520, but really want to go for something with 3g like bold 9000(discontinued from my current provider) or 9700.

A Blackberry 9700 costs around £385 sim free so if you do the sums 12x25=£300, any network provider would be making a -£85 loss on offering you that deal.

Which network are you on, so we can advise you better?

i am considering a bold 9700, i might go for the orange 40 a month so that its 18 months and a good amount of minutes and unlimited texts and internet and blackberry emails etc, seems to be the best offer from non internet stores (ie you may be able to do better on buymobilephones or mobilemole etc but thats if you have the time and patience to research and do it all correctly)

£25 a month is way too cheap for anything with 3g as far as i can tell.
  • Hi, ive been looking for Blackberry Bold unlocked deals and came across a site called Blubba.co.uk, who are selling them for £379. Don't know much about them, but bought a handset last week and it arrived the next day.

Have you taken a look at the htc hero? (Battery could be as poor as the iphone though). More discussion on: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2131951

Thanks for your reply. The battery would be a big concern, that is the only reason put me off iphone.

It all depends on what you are doing with the phone but if I charge it overnight I get until 8pm without charging - but's that because I play a lot of the games and mess about with the gps. If you just used it for calls text and internet then you'd probably get over 24hours out of it.

I just normally top up my charge either in the car or at my desk but you could also buy a bigger battery that gives you about 3 times as much life - (on the htc, i'm not sure about the iphone)

I would say the best deal that you would get on the 9700 would be the £35 tariff reduced to £30 but you would have to commit to at least 18 months. The Nokia E72 or a HTC Tattoo/Magic would be cheaper options.
