was making moroccon food yesterday - sweet potato and coriander soup, chicken tagine with steamed caremelised carrots and baby potatoes., and a lovely salad.

when cutting up the leek (bought from asda) for the soup posh found a LIVE wriggly worm and freaked out........eventually calmed down, threw the worm out into the bk garden (did not have the heart to kill it), and binned the leek......have to ring asda up about this......shud i call the store or head office???

Postie has delivered a Mail Rewards booklet today while I was out from the Daily Mail.
    Inside there is a coupon for a £10 off a £60 Waitrose shop with a 99 barcode. Valid until 31 March 2010 :D.
There are also coupons for 2 4 1 entry to Sea Life, Tussauds, The Dungeons and Warwick Castle with various expiries up to the end of this year and some exclusions and various other offers.
    Worth watching out for....
I seem to have conditional spends coming out my ears at the moment but not so many other coupons :rotfl:

I think as you get 2 packs for £2.79 then if you could use 2 coupons you would get 2 packs for 79p.

Havent got any advice on the worm scenario, but was very unhappy with T`s earlier- first of all, when I handed over my Sainsburys conditional spend, the SA said `oh, I don`t think we take these`, & then proceeded to check with a nearby supervisor, who was just stood chatting to another member of staff- she whizzed over, and said `only if they have spent the required amount` Hello- YES!!! I then gave the SA 2 full books of LV`s, half guessing I was playing with fire- she looked at them as though I had handed her something highly immoral, called the supervisor over again, (who by this time was really getting into the spirit of things), she said- `is there a conditional spend on these?`no` said I, by this time getting highly stressed (it hasn`t been a good day)- she looked at them closely for several minutes, then said `I can`t take both`. `Why on earth not?`, I said, & started making noises about going elsewhere. `Ill let you have them this time`, she then generously said, `but will have to go & check with Jack, for future times` When I finally got through, then having to queue at CS, because the SA hadn`t added my CC points, (steam coming out of my ears by now), the supervisor still hadn`t moved & was still yapping to this other member of staff. What a pity I hadn`t been MSing the store today..... Fed up to the back teeth with people throwing their weight around like that- I was made to feel I was trying to defraud them  NOT A HAPPY BUNNY:mad::mad::mad: Oh well, off on holiday Friday- methinks I`m ready for it!!

:( Unfortunately it is only for rechargers...IF the SA reads it correctly ;)...there are six specific items named on the coupon.
Thet are all chargers, not even just rechargeable batteries:beer:
It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)
  • I did my Monday night tour of Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons.Tesco get far less of my custom now and we get better deals and more variety. There will be a trip to Asda later in the week.

I used 3 mocs in Tesco, so not a great saving there, although I did get loads of lovely mushrooms for pennies.
I saved £8 in Sainsburys with a £5 on £25 and a £2 on £20 conditional spends both accepted, plus £1 on their Freefrom range, so happy with my savings there.
I almost wish I hadn't gone into Morrisons, but thats just cos I have eaten far too much of the rather lush Best Vanilla Cheescake that had been reduced down to 69p. I may need to starve all day tomorrow to make up for it - that won't be hard cos right now the mere thought of eating is too much, lol.
