I've not ever shopped on line for groceries. However Tesco.com have sent me a personalised voucher for 1000 clubcard points for first grocery order of £50 or more.
Is it worth doing once? I probably won't use online delivery again.
Thought I could use it towards a Eurotunnel deal.
    Ideas?

Definitely worth it - I only every shop online when they said me this sort of voucher. The 1000 is worth £10 - you can get a delivery slot for £3.75, so you make £6.25 if you spend the points in store or more if you use them for a clubcard deal.

1000 is worth £10 to spend in store or £40 to spend on club card deals so i'd always keep them and go for a deal you'd benefit from.

  • Hi

Someone told me Tesco do extra points if you buy certain food items in store (not vouchers in the post). I have never seen these, not that I go in that often or have looked that thoroughly. Are they on the shelves by the products or what? A friend said he bought cheese instore and got 400 points.

I am pretty new to Tesco and love Airmiles so any get points rich quick suggestions for a beginner would be great too thanks.

Thanks in advance for any help.

.........ALL the Clubs you'll find if you register with tesco.com
You'll receive quarterly mailings with extra points for targeted shopping, which you can work around to your own advantage i.e. looking in the reduced cabinets.
Collect coupons from mags, sometimes accepted, sometimes not(policy seems to be in flux). If not, simply don't take the items.
Till spits will occasionally entice you with extra reward points to buy items - hence the cheese, I'd guess.
Also, check all yellow shelf labels for changes to normal price/offers.
Always jot down prices seen and check your receipt for overcharges, to receive back double the difference(or complete refund when CS can't work out catchweights)
Apply for Clubcard Plus a/c and receive 2 points for every£ spent - you'll find a simple guide in Martin's main articles if you enter it in the Search box.
There'll be loads more help - you can look through this thread thoroughly for more yourself. People will be more minded to help if you've made an effort first.
    Happy hunting.

    ok 2 queries,

firstly i have called and e-mailed to make sure tesco and all their clubs (baby, food etc) have my new address and they swear blind they do, yet they keep sending my club mailings to my old one.
Last week i returned days out vouchers (with a letter giving my new add again) and they sent the confirmation of credits 3x to the old address....how do i make them stop?

secondly my brother got a magazine subscription for christmas that we're sure is tesco clubcard purchase, is there anything we can do to change the magazine to something else of the same value/from the same publisher without the person who bought it knowing?

I think it might depend on the publisher. My hubby got a bbc mag last Xmas as a present (cookery - which he's definitely NOT interested in!) and he wanted to change it to BBC Top Gear and they wouldn't do it, as it wasn't ordered / paid for in his name. It had to be the person that paid for it, or ordered it in the first place.

Which like you defeated the object as he didn't want them to know! All I can say is that if it's a bbc one, they won't do it - don't know about other publishers though.

I have a till spit for 300 points when you top up £20 by e-top up with Tesco mobile.

Will this work if I scan it on an o2 £20 top up?
