Hello cm - I've pasted and highlighted this a few times now on various threads - shall do so again(just give me a moment, please):
http://www.tesco.com/mobilenetwork/shop/?page=etopup (Start at telecoms>pay as you go>e top-up).
Below the 4-column table, you’ll see this para:
Using credit and debit cards
To use a credit or debit card, enter quick key 3# or dial 4444 - from your mobile. Or dial 0845 940 0000(Calls charged at up to 4p per minute from BT landlines. Other providers vary. Calls may be recorded.) from a landline.
Make sure you have your credit or debit card handy, then simply follow the instructions.
It's completely secure and we accept Mastercard, Delta, Visa and Maestro cards
You can buy anything from £10 - £30 worth of calltime in sums of £1
Once you've paid for your calltime, you'll hear a message telling you 'The top-up has been successful'.
The maximum amount you can top-up your mobile with your credit/debit card is £120 every 30 days. In addition there is a £30 limit per 24 hours. If you have already topped up to this level with a credit/debit card then you can use one of our other top-up methods such as E top-up, ATM top-up or vouchers. Remember if you top up in a Tesco store you can earn 4 Clubcard points for every £1 of top-up when you have registered your mobile no. to your Clubcard. If you are topping-up with a Mastercard for the very first time, the maximum amount you can top-up within the first 30 days of use is £30. After your first 30 days of use, you can use your Mastercard to top-up upto £120 within every subsequent 30-day period as usual. In addition for your protection there are limits on the number of mobiles you can top-up with one credit/debit card and also the number of credit/debit cards you can use to top-up the same mobile.
It's well worthwhile, especially as there are quite a few '300 points with £20 top-up' till spits around, all valid >13 May. I used one today, so will be Freephoning Mon/Tues to ensure that 420 points are credited for this(CC+ = dbl pts on £20 spend:40. Add 4xevery £, as per site:80. Plus till spit 300. Total:420.)
Be prepared to spell it out very carefully, but hold your ground. Take the name of whoever you speak with(normal practice anyway.)

Handy hint for doubling your points every time you shop.
1. Buy gift vouchers for the shop - claim the points with your loyalty card.
2. Use the gift vouchers to pay for your shopping - claim the points with your loyalty card again !
You can get even more if you buy the vouchers on a card that also gives you points.
Works a treat for me.0 -
Pretty sure I was told that you don't receive pts for buying vouchers - I looked at it for the Xmas vouchers, where they give you a certain % for saving for Xmas0

You don't get points for gift card purchases. You only get points when you redeem the vouchers/giftcard.0 -

Hi everyone,
I wonder if Tesco announcing they are data mining their loyalty cards worldwide has anything to do with them clamping down on points collecting in the UK?0 -

Hi there,
The vouchers you'll have to use are the ones which are sent to you quarterly in the post. These are the ones that you can also use to transfer into Deals Tokens. These vouchers can be used direct in store, or, as they have an e-code you can use them on Tesco.com.
However, if you use them in store or on Tesco Direct to pay for items (such as a digital camera) they are only worth face value. If you transfer them to Deals Tokens they become worth 4 times their face value.
I can understand why there may be some confusion between Clubcard vouchers (the ones sent to you in the post quarterly) and Clubcard Deals Tokens (the ones you get when you transfer your Clubcard vouchers to get 4x their face value).
I hope I haven't confused you further!!
Good Luck!0 -
