Does anyone remember a promo in Debenhams (i think it was around Christmas) that if you spent 500 nectar points instore, you'd receive 500 points back in the next mailing?

My mailing has come this morning:

    points redeemed: 500 in debenhams

points received (in Debenhams) : 36

Anyone else got the same problem?

Thank you for reminding me about this too! It was just before xmas as I spent 500 points using my voucher buying an xmas present and boy do I remember it!!!??? The sales woman didn't know what to do with the voucher! She put it through without doing anything with the voucher so I asked her how they would know I had used it - she said 'they will just know' at this point my mum and I had a bit of an argument with the sales woman about it as we didn't believe I would get the points. She called another sales woman over and she told her to put my sale through again and scan the voucher (and this point I was also concerned that I might have spent 1000 points but they assured me I hadn't). I still wasn't happy and this has reminded me that I must check my statement because I can see this getting messy as I pointed out to the member of staff at the time I have no proof that I used the voucher. It said on the voucher that it won't show on your receipt but will show on next statement????!!! I will wait for the postman!

  • Just got the update for offers on nectar and looking to boost my points (currently 10,400). Would it be possible to buy something big, say a computer or phone from a shop you get points at, get the points on the card and then return the item for a full refund????

Sorry no because when you return the item the amount is credited to your card and as the purchase is cancelled so are the Necter points. If only it were possible I would have bought a Rolls Royce by now !!

They have not given it on my points statement too, I phoned them (Nectar) and they said they would add it in a couple of days... is this why Debenhams have stopped with Nectar? Take 500 points off every card then do a runner? I will wait to see if Nectar honour the points.

Got a nice little mailing through in the post today for double points when you spend a minimum of £10 (4 vouchers to use for the next 4 weeks) - only just started with Nectar as I never really had a Sainsburys close enough to warrant getting a card before we moved house, so will be keeping a close eye on this thread :D

Anyone know how reliable Amazon are through Nectar? And how long it takes to get your points?

Also, when you use the additional point vouchers from the mailings, how long til they add on?

    Thanks

In my experience, not very reliable. I bought 700 worth of stuff via amazon/nectar, I was very careful about doing it correctly and double-checked. Never saw the points, Nectar customer services were no help at all, basically told me 'tough' as the cookies on my computer were saying no. Same thing happened with Evans Cycles. Nectar sucks for this, surely you can find another scheme more reliable...Quidco perhaps?

Quidco don't do Amazon? Although I do use Quidco for almost everything. Only reason I was going through Nectar is because I need a few moore points for an item I want and was trying to boost it quickly, and it's supposed to be double points so would get there quicker! Oh well, back to filling up the tank!

I've just checked my statement, and the Amazon purchases I made, for christmas, through Nectar.com came through about 5 weeks later e.g. 21/12 came through 24/01. They did seem to come through consistently though.

Thanks for reminding me. I just checked my online statement and my points haven't been added either  I just phoned them up (check saynoto0870) and they said they would be added within 28 days. We will see  .
