Buying something at Argos or Currys or John Lewis etc starting at the AirMiles online shop earns you miles on the purchases (which might be something you actually need) and those miles seem to be credited to people's accounts the most quickly from what I remember. But it might still take a few days rather than a few hours.

I don't think any method of earning miles is truly instant unfortunately.

The next best option seems to be to buy £30 worth of miles, they are worth more like £10, but at least you get something for it.

The double whammy is Tesco direct, clubcard points, plus airmiles

Hi Guys (or Gals...) I'm new to the discussion board so be gentle with me! Been collecting miles for several years now (two accounts, solo and family with almost 20,000 miles total), first via NatWest then the Loyds Airmiles duo. We try to use the Amex as much as poss, spending a lot in Tesco (fuel and shopping), changing vouchers into miles. Also shop whenever possible using the airmiles E-store for extra miles, but I have a query and if anyone can help it'd be appreciated. several times now when I've checked my account after an E-store purchase I've seen that miles have been credited and then immediately deducted again - when I've contacted airmiles they've always re-credited them, but it's a pain having to check the account every time and then send emails, so can anyone cast any light on why this is happening in the first place?

As steve1500 hasn't responded.......

If you buy from Tesco Direct via Airmiles e-store you get Airmiles on the purchase amount plus you get Tesco clubcard points which can then be converted to Airmiles as well

Only time I've ever had Airmiles deducted is when I've had to return something purchased via e-store (which is fair enough).

This may be a daft question but if you clear the balance of your Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo before the statement date do you still get awarded air miles on that spending? Thank you.
