Yes thanks - it helps a lot. I applied via the airmiles website and can see it is a different offer.

My credit cards arrived today - am going to spend the 'nominal' £10 and then cut them up!

May also be worth noting that the terms and conditions say it cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer...so if you merge the accounts, not sure if you can use both of the vouchers together as 3000 miles off or not...as technically it is the same offer...if that makes sense?

Also worth noting that if anyone plans on getting the premier card (one with the £50 fee) it is classed as a seperate product, so you should sign up for the free one first...get your 1500 miles and then sign up for the premier card to get another 1500 miles!

Would be interesting to know if you can combine the vouchers though after merging accounts as it isn't 100% clear on this! Not sure if it would be classed as "in conjunction with another offer" or not...

We were lucky enough to get the 80 mile rate during the double conversion rate deal about 3 months ago. We didn't have enough miles for a family of 4 so have this week converted some from the current mailing but they have not yet arrived in the airmiles account - does anyone know if we are likely to get the 60 mile or the 80 mile rate this time around (has anyone done it?). I am dying to know and had to wait until Saturday to get my clubcard vouchers. Please someone put me out of my misery!

Can someone here help me please?
I opened up an Airmiles account for the first time when I saw their double up offer in March. I know I was cutting it fine, but I'm certain that I was before the deadline in submitting my vouchers, but to this day, I've not received my double up offer. Does anyone here remember the exact cut-off date for the last offer and is there a contact number I can call to claim my extra points?
Thanks.

The cut-off date was 21st March, I believe this was the date you had to have changed your Tesco vouchers by, not the date the Airmiles went onto your Airmiles account.

I allowed Air Miles six or seven weeks to double up the miles I got from Tesco for converting Clubcard vouchers two days before the promotion ended and they still hadn't been doubled automatically.

In the end they were only doubled up after I sent an email of complaint to their Chief Executive Andrew Swaffield at andrew_swaffield@airmiles.co.uk

So it seems that having lured people in to converting their Tesco Clubcard vouchers that Air Miles are only honouring the promotion by exception if you complain about the lack of doubled miles. Tesco added their side of the conversion of Clubcard vouchers to miles within 24 hours by normal computer batch processing so why didn't Air Miles do the same, especially as I was only converting £31 of Clubcard vouchers so shouldn't have tripped any of their normal security flags.:mad:

Mine went on fine, no complaint needed.

• I converted my vouchers on the cut off day, at 6pm. I did not get my double rate, so I called Airmiles and they said that I missed the deadline. I called Tesco Clubcard and they confirmed that I did convert my vouchers in time and followed it up with Airmiles. I then received my double airmiles. It is a manual process so long winded, and error prone. Speak to Tescos first as they can confirm when exactly you converted your miles and then they can follow up for you too. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and can't believe I haven't looked into this before!
I've been collecting airmiles for the last 6 years. Its been slow going and I have about 5,700 at moment. I used to have a NatWest credit card with airmiles but then they stopped. I now use my Tesco cc for everything and pay it off in full each month.

Is this the best way to collect airmiles? I exchange all my Tesco vouchers into airmiles although I didn't realise about the double miles offer. How often is this on? Where do I find out about it? I really want to increase my airmiles balance for flights to Canada

Thanks
Paulina
