Airmiles are currently offering 750 airmiles if you sign up to receive the Times delivered. Existing subscribers can also apply.
You have to subscribe for 48 weeks and the subscription must be for 7 days. Each week costs £8.
The offer says that you can use the airmiles for a return on the Eurostar which must be booked by the 30 September and travel must take place by 30 November.
What is not clear is whether the airmiles will expire if you do not want to use them to travel on the Eurostar.
Quite an expensive offer, but if you already read the paper it might be convenient and rewarding.0 -
Presumably if you cancel the order within seven working days (as you're allowed to) you won't get the Airmiles. It doesn't actually say this though, in fact it doesn't even say when you can expect to get the Airmiles.londondulwich wrote: »Airmiles are currently offering 750 airmiles if you sign up to receive the Times delivered. Both my husband and myself have successfully applied and started using the Lloyds TSB Duo Airmiles card to get the 1500 Airmiles each and understand we have to book an Airmilies hotel when we book a flight to receive the 1500 bonus miles.
Does anyone understand the ins & outs of this because I am struggling to find a hotel that is less than 1000 miles!! Can we do the 'pay with cash and receive Airmiles' option? but if we can do this we still need to book a flight at the same time?
We want to book our Easter flights to Canada soon but need to 3000 Airmiles to help pay for them. We can't book a hotel before we've booked the flight but we don't get the 3000 Airmiles until we've booked the flight & the 'Airmiles hotel'!

Has anyone else had their Air Miles stolen by the company? I had several thousand Air Miles, but because I hadn't used them for a considerable time they have been cancelled! They are my Air Miles, earned by me. Can you imagine your bank confiscating the money in your account just because you haven't been using the account often enough?
Maybe you could in this day and age!0 -

I would like to take my family to Disney Paris using airmiles for the flights (probably October), unfortunately my airmile balance isn't quite up to this. I am considering applying for the TSB card for the 1500 mile voucher to make up the balance. My questions are
1. I'm aware that you must book a hotel through airmiles when using the voucher, does this include Disney hotels.
2. How do airmile prices compare with booking with Disney direct, including tickets etc.
3. Has anyone out there booked Disney with airmiles and if so how was it.
4. How long is the voucher valid
thanks
Gary

Really, if you wanted to keep them so badly, why did you not use your account for "a considerable time" - and what made you suddenly login to see that they were no longer in your account? Both my husband and myself have ... started using the Lloyds TSB Duo Airmiles card ... and understand we have to book an Airmilies hotel when we book a flight to receive the 1500 bonus miles.

You must spend £10 (on the AMEX) or £50 (on the MasterCard) to receive your 1,500 Airmiles. The takes approximately 45 days after your statement has arrived to reach your Airmiles account, by which time you should have received your membership number in the post, which allows you to create an online account with a friendly username.
Then, when you book your flights online, you must book a hotel in the same booking, one night per voucher (so you and your husband will have to book two nights).
You can pay for the hotel using credit/debit card in 'cash' (the cheapest option, but also the one they want you to go for) or - if you have collected enough - with your Airmiles.
However, the Airmiles hotels are relatively expensive and high-end, and get progressively more expensive as your date approaches. As far as I know, your hotel location doesn't have to relate to your flight destination or even coincide with the flight dates.
It has been suggested here on MSE that you could book the cheapest hotel possible (look for eastern European hotels or Asian destinations such as Bangkok) and then just not stay there. Be careful, though, that if you do this, to book both stays after your return flight, just in case the hotel reports your non-attendance to Airmiles and they cancel one or both legs of your flight.0 -

We've had a closer look at the terms & Conditions
AT THE TIME
OF BOOKING TRAVEL A MINIMUM OF ONE NIGHT’S ACCOMMODATION
MUST BE BOOKED THROUGH AIRMILES IN THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN,
OR DESTINATION, WITHIN THE SPECIFIED DATES OF TRAVEL.
CUSTOMERS MAY BOOK TICKETS FOR MORE THAN ONE PASSENGER BUT
THE VOUCHER CAN ONLY BE USED FOR A SINGLE BOOKING. IF ALL
THE MILES ARE NOT USED IN A SINGLE TRANSACTION THEN THE
UNUSED AIRMILES WILL EXPIRE IMMEDIATELY. FOR ALL BOOKINGS
USING THE VOUCHER THE OUTBOUND JOURNEY MUST BE COMPLETED BY
THE 31ST MARCH 2010 AFTER WHICH TIME THE VOUCHER WILL
EXPIRE.
Sorry about the capitals but this was pasted directly from the Airmiles website.
The 2 x 1500 Airmiles vouchers are now already in our household account but, as we are saving up Airmiles to go to Canada on 2nd April 2010 (school holidays) we can't use them for that trip. We are now looking at a short break to Prague in August as we don't want to lose the Airmiles.
We're going to spend this evening looking into it further.DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

I wonder if someone can help with this scenario?
I have an account registered at my address with 78 points.
My mum has an account registered at another address with alot more points. She needs to use or top-up her airmiles in the next few months or she loses them but has no way of topping her account up at the moment.
If she changes her address to mine then can I create a household account within my account and receive her points and then top them up using my clubcard vouchers. Then they won't be lost?
At the moment she has to pay a fee just to use them which doesn't seem fair.
Hope someone can help me!0
