We were told the Daily Mail discount was not to be used with any other offer at all, maybe it was in our staff notice, not sure, thanx for the tip, I will scoot to a diff Debs and try it myself!! 20% is more than our staff discount!!!
P.S I think tills will let anything through, we can do 100% discount if we wish, just they can trace our transactions and tell us off/sack us after!I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0

Hello,
Just wondering what people's personal opinions are for the best "value" things to get with nectar, boots and clubcard points opinions?? I know there is a generic list in the main aticle but wondered what you guys get! Plus, dunno how old the article is ( no disrespect to MSE!).Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!0 -
Just wondering what people's thoughts were on Tesco v Nectar as far as loyalty cards go? We usually shop at Sainsburys so Nectar would seem the obvious choice, however a friend has been telling me how great the Tesco Clubcard deals are and in particular the points being worth 4 times as much when you use them for these Clubcard Deals.
They can both be used for Eurostar which would be great as we like to have at least one holiday a year in Disneyland Resort Paris. Is there any way either can be used to book the rest of the holiday (accomodation and park entry) maybe through a travel agent? If this were possible it would probably sway the decision as to which store to shop in.
thanks0 -
To be honest, I would not base your decision of where to shop on what the loyalty point offer as there is no guarantee that the offer will still be available by the time you have enough points. The case in point here is that the Tesco Eurostar offer will be finishing soon so that would be no good for you.
Yes, the Tesco clubcard is a better deal than Nectar but that does not stop me from buying food that is nicer or the same and cheaper at Sainsburys.0 -
Today i received a letter from Debenhams to say they are no longer taking part in the nectar scheme,,but they have sent some vouchers to spend in store (if you spend over 25.00 quid that is)..I was most dissapointed about them dropping the nectar scheme as i get lots of points and i like to redeem them at debenhams...anyone know why they have ended this scheme???0

I was told by a Debenham`s assistant that it was Nectar themselves who had ended the scheme but obviously I don`t know whether this is correct.0
