This reminds me of the Hitman compo thing. There was a competition about the film Hitman (which I'd buy on DVD if they ever put out a director's cut) - and everyone got a runners up prize of paintball vouchers. Which were !!!!!!!! because the real money was made, as other people have pointed out, on the paintballs etc. Plus, with paintball, I gather you can bring your own hyper kitted out gun which makes things a bit uneven.

I'd be tempted to go along, buy one paintball each and sit in the middle of the field negotiating a peaceful solution to the conflict.

  • Sadly I've been done by this too.

Paid £50 in the shopping mall only to find it's cheaper to book with the local paintball site directly.

Ministry of Paintball want £18.50 for a day + 100 paintballs
    Direct booking: £14.99 + 200 paintballs

I thought the £50 for 16 tickets was fair as I thought the admission and equipment hire would have cost more, however I was wrong. The tickets are worthless as you still have to stump up so much to make the booking.

  • Well it looks like there are a lot of very unhappy people who are complaining about Ministry of Paintball. 'Ministry of Paintball Scam' appears as an auto-suggest in Google when one enters the company name. Also lots of complaints about the company e.g.: Ministry of Paintball

  • Ministry Of Paintball are extremely unethical. The internet is flooded with complaints about them.

Please do a search for "Ministry Of Paintball scam" and you will be shocked at the number of negative reviews of them.

They have behaved abysmally and the company is not likely to last, so stay clear to avoid grief.

Had this happen to me except I didn't pay up. Two Australian blokes came up to me and started trying to befriend me, asking my name, what I do for a living etc.

I chatted with them for a while before they got to the point. One guy pulled the little booklet out of his pocket and offered it to me for £50 and I declined. He then offered me two little booklets for the price of 1. I declined again. Then he offered me one for £20. By this point I could see it was a VERY dodgy deal and I just walked away and said "No thanks".

10 minutes later they were GONE. Got me thinking... Hmm... Total scam?

Beware. This is a very dodgy deal.
