Sounds like something i will read about everyone else managing to do on the day but I don't think it would happen in my nearest Boots. Somehow a spanner would be thrown in the works and I don't think I want to take the chance, lol.

Mind you, at the moment Boots.com wont let me even sign in so maybe it's fate I don't get one. :eek::D

I would be wary of ordering it online as there were quite a few problems last year with people wanting to return items and buy them back you could always stay up and wait for the offer to go live online and order it then x

Anyone know pls how long a store will hold item for pls? I go on holiday on the 17 but not back 'til the 29th. If I order online on the 18 for store pick up will they keep it, or will return it to .com after 7 days say?

just sign into your account and put some in your basket now, then on Friday morning (18th) just checkout, saves time when website slow/busy xx hth

I wont be chancing this i will just stay up and order online. As ikkle87 said i vaguely remember big problems with people doing this last year.

Good idea if it was a sure thing and some stores may let you do it but i def want this one so wont take the risk.

I'm sure its 2 weeks they keep it for. Do you have a friend who could go collect it?

A few weeks ago I returned something but had to wait on my refund as its done by boots.com and not instore. My refund showed up on my statement as boots.com also. So not sure if the idea would work by taking it back and rebuying it straight away.

we do boots.com refunds in store, the only time we wouldn't be able to resell an item is if it an item that is order only, then it will not sell through the till but we can still refund it.

i did that for a customer last week with a shaver, when they ordered it it cost £97 but by the time they picked it up it had gone down another £20 so i just refunded it, resold it and gave them their £20
