Was half way through a list of names and age guesses when I thought that would probably not score very highly in the 'how to make friends' list...They are and all.

I wonder how we assess others' ages on here? I'm sure we subconsciously picture people at certain ages, for no particular reason. I remember being shocked when mr b put a photo up, cos he looked so young..and had hair, unexpectedly.I think....0 -
Life gets more complicated
I drive a 51 no name car as driving something newer or with a badge might suggest I am low class enough to choose a car based on what those who see me in it might think...
...but now it looks like I will have to ask the Mrs to go out to work even though she couldn't possibly earn enough to cover the nursery fees as otherwise if I mention she is an SAHM people might think I think I am showing off!

We have a cheap car that works because cars are pretty low down our list of priorities, and I don't care too much what anyone thinks. Reliable, fuel efficient, safe...these are things we look for. By definition, someone who'd judge me on the basis of what car I'm driving isn't someone whose opinion I'd care about, anyway.0 -
