I received an email from Thorntons a few days ago saying that if you spend £10 or more in one transaction, (excluding delivery), you can get a box of Continental cholocates (195g) free. The product code is 2203 and the offer code on the checkout page is XE9U.

My apologies if this partiucular offer has already been posted. Having read the last couple of pages of the thread I think this offer may be posted in vain as there are a few people miffed with Thorntons out there!
It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?

Always on the hunt for a bargain
  • Is it common practice for Thontons to ignore emails regarding damaged items? I have sent them two emails since I received my order and no response? I mean I know they are busy but it seems they have the attitude to ignore complaints is easier? I could be wrong but its a little frustrating

I think you may be right. I also sent two messages , one by their 'contact us' section on the website and one by e-mail about broken mugs, and finally I phoned them. The person I spoke to didn't know about any e-mails but agreed to send out replacements immediately and they arrived within a couple of days. The packaging was still no better but fortunately they were not broken.
I would suggest you phone and get things sorted quicker.
    Good luck.

Is the original code still working?

I have more than £25 worth of other items in my basket, have applied the code, it said it was accepted but then at the final checkout stage the extra box that should be added and free doesn't show up. I don't want to order if I'm not going to get it.
