Weekly Flylady Thread 7th December 2009

Mornin' all.

I'm not up with the thread as the lappy has had a viral wobbly and we have had to teset it. I did however spot the ecard info too late just like Kaz - sorry LadyL.

The lounge was cleaned on the due date (though not quite to star level I'm afraid) and the old furniture is outside awaiting a bulky collection today. My new furniture was delivered yesterday - don't know if I really like it, but it's too late now:D But it is very comfy.

Off to worj in a few minutes so wll be flying from about 5pm with a bit of luck - though I may stop off at the pound shop on the way home to get a few bits.

Boddy - that's worrying about things of your Mum's missing - particularly the necklace. Have you put in a formal complaint? I think you said the other day they have new staff. do you ever see anything of other visitors? Maybe you could have a word with them to see if anything of their relative's has also gone missing.

AnW's big hugs - Christmas is a difficult time occasionally, particularly when loved ones are missed xxx But I agree with Kaz- maybe this is DH's way of letting you know he approves of the tree....

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Room of Gloom
Level One ~ done :j
Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
[/STRIKE]Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
Clear and wipe a shelf or window sill
Level Three
[STRIKE]Wipe the table and replace the cloth if necessary[/STRIKE].
Sort through and clean out one cupboard
[STRIKE]Clean the oven and hob.. [/STRIKE]:D


Extras

1. Clean out the fridge.. make use of anything almost past its best
2. Wash the windows

Tuesday - living room, hallway, stairs
Level one
[STRIKE]Clear the floor of clutter
[/STRIKE]Tidy the baubles and lights on the tree.. OR PUT UP YOUR TREE Sorry, but our tree will still be in the ground for another 2 weeks, so I'm swapping this for tidying the mantel in the hallway, so there
Level two
[STRIKE]Vacuum the stairs and hallway and living room
Wipe and water plants
[/STRIKE]Wash the windows
Level three
[STRIKE]Wipe the sofas and wash any skanky soft furnishings
[/STRIKE]Sort coats, shoes and bags

1. Check the smoke alarms
2. Fill a binbag for charity shop
3. Finalise your christmas menu and shopping list
4. Defluff and deweb these rooms

Wednesday - bathroom, study and other grotty places!
Level One
[STRIKE]Clean the loo and the bath and the shower and the basins!
[/STRIKE]Defragment PC and run spyware scans while scrubbing
Level Two
Wash windows and any chairs/sofas
[STRIKE]Clean curtains/blinds etc
[/STRIKE]Declutter floors
Level Three
[STRIKE]Wash bathmats/shower curtain and furry bog hats
[/STRIKE]Replace any sponges/flannels/toothbrushes etc that need it
throw out any empty bottles.. decant dribbles into fuller bottles

Extras -

1. Finalise those last minute presents you have to buy..
2. Post all the cards you need to post
3. Wrap all the presents for family/friends
4. Finalise shopping orders/lists for your christmas food shop.. remember shops are only closed for one day!!!!

Thursday - Master bedroom! and landing
Level one
Strip the bedding and get it washed!
30 minutes floordrobe/junk clearing!!
Level Two
[STRIKE]Vacuum and turnthe mattress, vacuum the landing and floor
[/STRIKE]Remake the bed
Clean the windows
Level Three
[STRIKE]Wash any curtains/etc that are in need
Wipe down all the furry paintwork
[/STRIKE]Fill a binbag for charity shop or the bin!

1. HHI
2. Collect all the dirty laundry from upstairs
3. Clean out any pets/wash pet bedding we don't have any pets any more
4. Wash some light shades

Well I suppose a week or 2 of having layins til 9ish by DS was going to stop at some point, I just wasn't prepared for 6.45 this morning, and he had his first bad dream, he was sobbing and took quite a while to calm him down!

Anyway I've got the drs at 10.25am so I suppose this is a good way to start the day, got a few things to do and if it stays dry I want to walk there.

Ok heres my week so far:

Monday ~ Kitchen of Grot and Dining Room of Gloom
Level One
[STRIKE]Declutter[/STRIKE] and mop/[STRIKE]vacuum the floors[/STRIKE] Will mop floor when ds has a nap
[STRIKE]Find and wipe the worksurfaces[/STRIKE]
Level Two

Well I've made a dent in littleys room, spent the last half hour hanging clothes back up in her wardrobe :rolleyes: for some reason she decided to sort out her DVD's the other week and they got left so I've piled all them up too, I can see some floor at least, she says she's gonna sort the rest after school.

WM is on with teenies stuff and he's now gathered another pile, to say he always looks scruffy he goes through enough clothes lol still, he's got new stuff for xmas so he'll look smart for a couple of weeks at least.

I've S&S'd the kitchen and put the rubbish out, loaded the DW and looked at my bed but decided to leave it till later. I've fed Lily.

Going to sort my workbag out now then head off to work
