Deputy said to me that she saw me in town on Sunday! How embarassing - I didn't say hello either cos I thought she hadn't seen me. Still, hopefully I looked busy.

pigpen - Why are you feeling sick ?
Re bedwetters: you can buy these pullups for up to age 15 in Asda. DS is 6 1/2 still wears a pullup, age range 4-7 but we have had to use age 8-15 when they dont have the others in. What ages are the ones still wetting. What is DLA and what do they have to have (diagnosis etc ???) to get that as the pullups cost me a flipping fortune but like you I got fed up with wet sheets, duvets, duvet covers, soft toys, pillows (he is a real wriggler in bed). I also have PVC sheets that totally cover the mattress so they just wipe/antibac clean and dont need washed and the mattress is 100% protected. Didnt bother with those stupid ones that are terry towelling with a tiny waterproof panel in the middle like the size of a hankie LOL
carlsberg - NOOOOOOOOOOO mothers are not meant to be like that (as well you know madam :rolleyes:). God I do hope I will do everything in my power to bolster my children's confidence and not make them feel like what they do is never good enough and feel like failures all the time.
Do you know, when I got my degree, before finals I was told I was borderline 1st, when I got my results it was a 2:1, when I told Mum the first thing she said was "Oh. You said you would get a 1st." Not "well done I am so proud of you".
And also -- I am sure whataver you see tomorrow it will be very emotional and wonderful and amazing for you both, she is a lucky lucky girl to have such a fab fab non toxic Mum
toots - thanks, DH came home half an hour ago and announced that as well as the mega projcty thing and the dodgy laptop he has to leave the house at 5 tomorrow to go to Birmingham for another presentation to some other big important clients and presumably then race back and pull an all nighter to get the stuff ready for the other guy to take to the US. Oh its not going to be fun in the House of D for the next 24 hours  Joys of running one's own business I guess

Partly the half tin of Roses I just decluttered and other than that I have no flipping idea but it better have worn off by tomorrow cos I don't like it.

I have been using the pullups for her for years but the 8-15 ones are rarely in stock here and cost an absolute fortune compared to the toddler ones and you get so few in a pack!! Bedwetting isn't classed as 'an issue' until they reach 7 by which time them 'in the know' think they should be developed enoguh to be dry by night. Mine is 9 next week and still sopping wet 6 nights out of 7. Mine has a small irritable bladder and another issue as yet unidentified but we were at enuretic (pi$$y) clinic until they decided not to bother sending us out another appointment in August, TBH it was a waste of time but they did say they would refer her to urology then didn't.. I did ring 3 times about another appointment and have been waiting 3 months for them to 'ring me back'.. I'm taking her back to the GP over christmas to demand a urology referral it is getting a bit much now.
My cousins daughter is very very big for her age (at 7 she is as almost 5ft tall) and they get her nappies provided, she has severe autism to the point she doesn't speak. As far as I am concerned.. if you apply and they say no.. what have you lost? a little time.. if you apply and they say yes you have so much more available to help the child in question.go for it mate. though be warned, all she has to do is stare at you with her laser eyes of evil over the top of her bifocals and you will be reduced to a pathetic pile of blubber
Think mine just has had a personality transplant. Only they forgot to put one back in.
Actually come to think of it, does anyone watch BattleStar Galactica ? I think she is a Centurion Cylon in a Pringle golf jumper.
I hate BG.. but yes I know what you mean lol. Hhmmm.. golf jumper type.. serve her up lol.. I can be .. and I know you'll be shocked.. totally outrageous.. and I do.. then sit back and watch them quake lol.. it is wonderful.
Can the stare not be met with..
'Problem?' and an equally frost bitten, knee trembling stare?
it is so much harder when it is your own mother who, regardless of how you feel about their behavious etc you still love and at the bottom of it all you just want to be loved and accepted in return.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I'm visiting Naomi House at 11:00 and guess I'll be there a couple of hours. Mind you, if you're that close, I could just text you when I'm about to leave as I'll have to walk back down to the village. Any idea if the pub is any good?
