Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the reports, we had to do a server maintenance upgrade today which involved taking down each machine one by one and applying the patches. As we have more than one server this is why it would have "worked" sometimes and not others. We still have to run some more patches tomorrow however hopefully this will be slightly less obvious to you.
Everything should now be back and operational as earlier. Thanks.

The only way I can get on the forum is by clicking a link in the update email.
Also got the download option and weird script when trying to access sometimes.0 -
I've just tried clicking on the referrers board link and am getting the weird script there too.0

still not working on aol.....getting the download window when trying to access the forums0

Thanks for the info guys, I have a suspicion this maybe due to aol caching the pages when the issue started. Will have a chat with our server guys shortly. If aol fixes itself in the mean time could you please let us know.
Thanks

Hello MSE_Neil,
I'm still having problems with displaying the various forum sections such as the Debt Free Wannabe forum and threads - just get the Download File dialogue box. The same oocurs if I use the Back Button. Oddly I can get into this forum and its threads ok with no problems. I also AOL if that helps.

Hi
As per this other MSE thread
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=2322581#post2322581
If there is any caching going on with your computer (or perhaps your network in my case), then the cache's will need clearing (local computer, or network server).
AOL, as mentioned before use big caches for everyones data, so how you clear those down is beyond me. But on the thread above is a way to surf with AOL and, I think, avoid the caches.0 -
Still getting the download this file window through AOL.
Having to access through firefox still....
Is this something MSE will fix or will I have to try to fix it my end
I have looked at the above thread, but I am not sure about changing anything as I have been surfing with AOL for about 6 years with no problems, well none that havent been resolved by aol themselves0 -
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do, we have to wait until aol reloads its data which will hopefully be in the very near future!
Thanks

I'm on AOL - though not using its software
No problems today0
