  • Many thanks to all those posting and the original poster of this thread. Having been a long time user of MSE I have now registered to add to this thread. You have all really made me laugh at the replies and experiences you have had in pursuit of the hat box. I managed to get 4 on Friday morning. 1 for my dd, 1 for sis, 1 for my dd's teaching assistant (better than chocs and wine) and 1 for me under the tree! I wish you all a fabulous Christmas and a bargaintastic new year!

PS I hope I have done this correctly as its my first time!

If what she bought was a gift set, and by the sounds of it, it is, then shes not actually entitled to a gwp..they are only given out on individual items.

I've just added one to my basket & the free gift has popped in.

Not sure if this link will work, but here it is.

As for those of you still waiting, if your order has been contracted out, there is still a chance it will be delivered tonight as these workers deliver in their spare time, often evenings and weekends. Fingers crossed.

I've also had an email, a text message and a very pleasant phone call from Boots to say my order is ready for collection .. wasn't due until Wednesday:j
Would have picked it up tonight, but we were due to go out, but my OH:mad: is having what I can only describe as a hissy fit about ridiculous things:confused: so I will have to wait until tomorrow!
  • I am sending the contents of a hatbox to another MSE'er and I just thought I'd let others know if is really easy to do. Just pick up the inner bag and pop it in another box with some bubble stuff. I thought I'd have to wrap everything separately, but as long as the box is the right sort of size it's a doddle. I've weighed the new pack as slightly under 2k (will keep it in a very dry place so it doesn't absorb any liquid lol) so the cost to send first class recorded is £7.30.

I just thought this might help anyone else considering offering or asking.

Good luck in the hunt. I'm wondering if we might even have some left in our local store. It's next door to the PO so I'll check.
