  • My three boxes came on Saturday along with a grumpy driver who had a good old moan about having to come out on a Saturday (he doesn't usually work on a weekend apparently but had to due to exceptionally large orders - ooops).

Then had a major panic attack as my little sis came home shopping at Merry Hill with a hat box! I saw it in her shopping and thought OH No - as one of the boxes was for her. Agonised for ten minutes whether to mention it to her and find out who it was for, either herself... then thought it might be me (was secretly hoping). Anyway, she came into my room and showed me and it was for a friend. I said ultra-calmly "oh I've seen that on the TV but the Walsall one had sold out" - according to her, there were hundreds at Merry HIll and no one seemed interested!!! Seems to be the only part of the country that hasn't sold out.

If I lived nearer there and had a car, I would happily buy some for people on the board but sadly have no way of getting there under my own steam.

anyone had any luck wrapping these?

Yip:D Although only after I followed the wrapping guide someone posted earlier in this thread. I did a test run first to get the hang of it and it was surprisingly easy once you got the hang of it.

I asked OH to wrap mine as he bought it me for christmas and he laughed at me and said not a chance. I also bought myself one and was going to attempt to wrap that but decided against it and my mum has got me one and she said she's stuck a bow on it and thats my lot :rotfl:

As with other barrel type things I'd wrap the paper around the edge of the box first, i.e the circular part, then fold down onto the flat parts in a bit of a fanned motion. You'll need quite a large piece of paper with space at the edges. :xmassmile

Someone posted this wrapping guide with easy instructions and nice pictures. I've saved it in my favourites because I'm useless at wrapping anything that isn't a rectangle! :D

Soooo, I'm so bloody annoyed by now...

*Stayed up Thursday night until about 1am...silly holding page...
*Tried the website again from 6:45-7:45 on Friday morning, managed to get to checkout only for site to crash on me at the last step...repeatedly :(
*My friend went to the Stockport store for me, none in stock
*I went to the Ealing Branch, same story :(
    *None at Euston Station either

So after reading the Trafford Centre would get another delivery, I got up at 6:30am(on my day off!!!) today and took a bus at 7:15am, was supposed to be at the Trafford Centre at 8:33am....BUT didn't get there til 9:45am because of the snow chaos...I ran to Boots to see a lady leave the store with 2 hat boxes...I get all excited thinking they must be back in store. Walk around the shop looking for them and ask a couple of SA's on both floor "none...and we won't be getting any more" :(
Asked another one just to make sure and he said that there were only three boxes left from yesterday's delivery so if they're gone, that's it!

So I sat on the bus for 2 bloody hours for absolutely nothing and to top it off, my water leaked in my bag and now my phone is broken :( This OOTW is getting too expensive for me as my phone was still fairly new and I loved it :(

If anyone has an extra box and would be happy to ship it to me(I don't even want the silly box, just the products if that makes it easier to ship) please, please think of me :) Thank you!!!

    Have pm'd you

I bought one from sheffield centre today. I actually feel a bit guilty about how easy it was to get reading about some of your struggles - i only went into town for something to do cause i had to go hand some work in anyway and there was just a massive stack of about 30 by the door.

edit: If anyone was wondering i went in at about 12.30 so i dont know what the state of their stock is now, the pile was a lot smaller when i left and that was only about 10 minutes later.
