Boots OOTW 18/12/09

Just in case anyone is local Thame, oxon is a small boots and have some left- have just driven by and they have some on the shelf as you walk in!!

I popped into my local Large boots - and they were unpacking HUNDREDS of the hat boxes.
Literally.
The front big window was filled floor to ceiling - about 30 foot long.
Plus another huge display near the tills, plus more around the store.
So well done to Boots, for actually having the stock to cope when they run an offer like this.:T
I bought mine using points.....but just in case anyone in the family does actually get me one for Christmas, can I return it and get my points back if I do not open it ???
I know Boots can be funny about makeup - even if it is still sealed etc.

LOL yep he's sorted now! Told him to stop being so bl00dy oversensitve about stuff. I didnt mean what i said, it was just a off the cuff comment and said he has to stop that huffy nonsense.
so I got a lovely bunch of pink roses, tiffany bracelet (OMG!!!!), chocs, cook book and the most gorgeous looking white choc/raspberry cake!!
YAY ME!!!
I'm going to have to try that "get thee to F*C*" routine more often if thats my rewards hehehehehe

As soon as I read about this offer on the Boots website at around 1pm today, I knew I had to get one. I originally went on there to see about the FCUK overnight bags, which I wanted, but they'd sold out before I could get one. I had planned to get the £18 Soap and Glory Plane Jane giftset for myself anyway, so you can imagine how eager I was to get the hatbox.
When I'd seen it online, they'd already sold out, and so I came on here to see of any updates. I text my boyfriend to ask him to contact our nearest "larger" Boots store when he got home, but he informed me that he was in our local town, which has a smaller Boots, so I asked if he could check in there for me. He didn't seem to know what he was looking for, even though I'd written it down for him! He took a look around and couldn't see any on the shelves or at the front of the store, so he asked someone. One of the staff told him that they'd sold out, but another staff member, nearby, told him that she had spied one left out the back, which she brought out for him. It was probably meant for one of the members of staff, but apparently they're not allowed to hide things for themselves, so I don't feel too guilty!
So he'd got me the last one in a small store, I was so surprised when he'd text me saying he'd managed to get me one. Saved me one or more trips to other shopping centres. Didn't get the points, but nevermind. Saving of £30 anyway. So that's my present off one family member sorted, hehe.

I do have the receipt, but all it says on it is "You could have earned 80p in points" as though it's mocking me, lol.

ooh i thought you could add the points???? hmm if it was me, i would try my luck and get them added. My local boots is really good for that - i didnt have the 500 pnts voucher with me for the repeat prescription service but the girl just added them for me. good luck

I ordered two online yesterday morning - about 6.30am (woke up to loads of snow and thought all my children might be off school!) and it's still saying processing, fingers crossed, fingers crossed, fingers crossed!
