How much 'treat' money do you allow yourself?

Imelda - i am in London too and live very much in a culture of a few drinks after work, grabbing M&S food on the way home from work. I honestly think it is more difficult to save in London/Big towns - so much temptation in yoru path all the time!!!!!Debt:
A big fat zero!
Original debt 12,700 Feb 20060 -
I dont really have a set budget for treats, quite frankly, I dont really NEED them.
Although in saying that I do "do stuff" but its usually of the DFW variety.
I do smoke, that is my treat.
I buy bargain clothes when I see them ( they must be under a fiver or tough)
I think a haricut is a treat, which I havent had one since before Xmas *ashamed*
Ive sold most of my previous "i deserve a treat" stuff on ebay, it was stuff I ddint need, never used and was a waste of money
I feel like a right sad case is my treat this week will be me paying off 85 of my b/card.:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

No I must admit, I don't go out either and I'm happy to have it that way; I socialise at home and in the garden (not really a pub/club/winebar person - been there, done that). I live and work in London too and the temptation NOT to take in packed lunches because M&S is practically next door is huge, but it's where most of my money was going. I only buy new clothes if something wears out and have my hair cut twice a year. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

My OH and I do entertain ourselves with the odd bottle of wine. I don't miss going out too much except for going to my best friend's village which is the best night out ever.Barclaycard - £489.74 / £500.00

I would say I treat myself 'as and when'. The past few months, I've been putting as much money as possible towards my debt on pay-day. Then have some left over to cover monthly outgoings and petrol money. Any left would go towards 'treats' which I consider to be clothes, going out etc. But even then, all treats would be in DFW style - ie, clothes in the sales.
I've now reached the stage where I prefer not to spend unless I have to. I'll be debt free soon and I have already budgeted for a few treats to celebrate!0 -
I have £50 a month for treats- but I include things like clothes and mobile phone credit as treats, whereas I know some people see them as necessities. I even transfer it to a special account to stop me dipping into money earmarked for other things! (don't trust myself!) I don't always spend it all, and if there's any left I put it into debt payments."People who "do things" exceed my endurance,
