I'm absolutely positive she wasnt joking. She knows about the pill, because she sees me take mine, but when we discussed other methods, she said you could take a condom. When I asked what she meant, she said swallow it like a tablet

Maybe it's me explaining badly, or maybe she isnt mature enough yet to understand. Must do better with DS

I think all you can do is remind her from time to time Spud, and keep being as open with her as you are, that way she will know she can ask you stuff, even if she's a bit embarrassed.

We're very open. DS told me last week he was getting hair in certain places.........then asked me if I wanted to see his hairy ball sack :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That IS a bit startling, and possibly a little too much detail at that age. I understand the need to be honest, but it has to be age-appropriate too.

My philosophy with the kids is to [STRIKE]bury my head in the sand[/STRIKE] read books with them that are suitable for their age, and make sure they know they can ask questions. Then I answer honestly any questions they are old enough to ask. It has worked well so far but obviously we haven't hit teenagerdom yet. :eek:
