Yep, Morrisons machines are better being of a later design it seems, same with the notes you just put in a bundle of £10 and it does it automatically.0 -
I dont have any large supermarkets near me so it will have to be the bank, I am with Halifax.0

I pay mine into HSBC via the counter, no machine at my local branch unfortunately. I take five bags of the correct amount in at a time. I understand that is the daily limit at HSBC but have never seen anything definitive to confirm that.
I don't think any of the big 4 traditional banks (HSBC, Lloyds, Barclays & Natwest) have limits on the amounts of coins they will accept.
Daily limits tend to be imposed by current or former building societies such as Halifax, Abbey, A&L etc..

Halifax in Scotland will, or should, accept any amount of coin. You may have to go the business area to do so.Santander - usted puede silbar para su dinero0 -

Even if it was higher than that, I probably wouldn't want to take too much more in at once due to the weight.
I have taken 7 bags in before
but my branch is small and after about 1pm it's pretty empty so they aren't bothered about taking loads

Just don't try it at a bank where you do not have an account!:rotfl:I don't think any of the big 4 traditional banks (HSBC, Lloyds, Barclays & Natwest) have limits on the amounts of coins they will accept.

They may do, but will charge you for the privilege.Santander - usted puede silbar para su dinero0 -
Nationwide allow 5 bags at a time, however if you have a Smart Account (child's account) there are no restrictions, but please think of the cashier who has to try and balance the till at the end of the day, also the people in the queue who have to wait while all the change is counted.0

Paying in bags that have been counted correctly and simply just need to be weighed probably takes no longer than paying in a bundle of cash!FluffyFiFi wrote: »also the people in the queue who have to wait while all the change is counted.0
