Sadly the R&C system is only as clever as the stores' database.
The reason the system still reported stock days after you were unable to collect the item is because the store did not raise a manual count on their database.
This store need to process a count, and transfer some further stock from another branch.
No further Xmas stock will be delivered from the distribution centres. Stores may receive (what appears to be) new stock but only if they liaise with other stores and transfer accordingly.0 -

Do you think the delivery van turns up, driver jumps out and shouts 'SUPRISE!'
Of course these stores know what is being delivered and when!
Just because a particular staff member doesn't have the info to hand at the exact time you ask when such and such an item is going to be in stock doesn't mean they can't go spend 2 minutes finding out for youFuture Mrs Gerard Butler

LMAO I worked nights at Tesco (for my sins) years ago and I have a fabulous vision of one of the late night drivers sneaking through the loading bay and jumping out yelling "Surprise"
I wish I could thank you twice for that one, had me in stitches

Found the emails of all the Board, and the Company secretary. I'm sure they'll all be looking forward to entering into dialogue with me!
NO! What I said was I wanted something in your SALE!0 -
Reserved a new lawnmower yesterday from B&Q and was told by email I could pick it up this morning after 7am. When I went to pick it up today the price had gone up by nearly £30. I showed them the email stating the price when reserved but they wouldn't sell it to me at that price. They also said I could have picked it up yesterday and got it at the better price!
It does say on the email that price might change on day of collection but why no call to let me know and save a wasted trip?0
