Lowest traffic today this year. Lowest CTR.
Went through all stats for the past 12 months, sorted, diced, analysed.
Fridays are !!!!!! ... December's !!!!!!....
That's my professional judgement on the reason.
I just love complex statistical analysis.0 -
maybe to bring this back to topic?!
While I have accepted that I will not be able to buy a house until my parents peg it, there seems to be this believe on this board (mainly, I imagine by homeowners) that EVERYTHING in life should be built around house prices. That we should all have pounced in February, because that was the low point.
Does anyone actually live their life like that? Even if I was in a position to buy, I wouldn't have at any point until now, because it doesn't suit my life. The fact that I could make lots of money doesn't affect this, in the same way that I could make lots of money through various routes but choose not to.
Surely buying a house should be about lots of things, and how much you make should be very low on that list?0 -

To be fair, there's only ONE poster on here that keeps saying people should have bought in February. Also, this was the Friday night 'Bottle of Wine and a Packet of Crisps' thread, so don't expect too much serious analysis.;)
You are absolutely correct in saying that life-stuff usually gets in the way of using houses like more liquid forms of investment. Also, for a main home, most people aren't content with buying a box with a roof on it; they want to like this thing they are paying so much for.
Whatever sold last February was sale agreed around November last year, when things were still all doom and gloom, so perhaps this supports the old Warren Buffet mantra about 'buying when others are fearful.' But what if there is nothing out there that you want to buy? That's what we found then, so we rented.
Are we bovvered? We completed on 31st July and, although I don't brag on here, (much:o) we have enough left over to buy another one. Hamish can put that in his sporran and smoke it. Will we? I don't think so, but who knows? Real life is messy like that. His stuff is just figures.0 -
Better suited to a car I think.
"The new Toyota Abednigo. Available in 1.8 petrol, 2.0 diesel and 2.8 turbo injection."
As much as I love the name I'm not sure I'd get into a car with connotations of a fiery furnace.
DH also didn't like Balthazar. We have a short lit of three first names for our imaginary son. My parents feel our shortlist is probably why I can't produce: My ovries being too wise to so lumber a child to such nomenclature.0
