You could have popped in for a cup of tea!

It's not that bad round here once you get used to it (and know not to go on the M62 at rush hour, which up here is between 3.30 and 7). I do prefer central london though, at least down there they've heard of road signs. Up here they just use them to taunt you - direct you half way to where you want to go, then stop. Usually in an area that you don't want to have to stop in to get a map out! Manchester's evil though (but what do you expect on the wrong side of the pennines).
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I'm always amazed by the fact that all these towns around Huddersfield/Dewsbury etc all seem to just bleed into eachother without any clue as to which one you are in:confused:....thank God for Satnav ( and I usually hate Satnav!)

Leeds I can cope with, wide roads and everyone going like the clappers ( just like London) ..but the M62!!!Just get into a lane and be happy with it !!!!!!!!

    ...and relax!

    lol

I avoid Dewsbury cos of the scary relatives. I agree about the rest of it though, I once drove straight through Holmfirth cos I missed it, and all the other little places round there are hard to find unless you really keep your eyes peeled for the name signs.

Like I said, I don't go on the M62 unless it's going to be fairly quiet (apart from when I forget to check the football listings and head towards Manchester when they're at home *shudder*). Unless I'm going to Manchester or Hull then the A62's just as quick, if not quicker.

Surely, when Manky Utd are at home all the traffic is coming up the M6 from London as thats where all there supporters are from?
yes, I know they could be using the M1 and M62 but thats a lot of numbers and letters for a Man U supporter to remember:p:D
