Dave Allen does make me laugh. I have been looking for a particular show where he talks about the things we do to our children - shaking then into their trousers, scraping food off faces and putting it back in their mouth, pulling them up by thier reins etc but I just can't find it ....

Mmm stollen, I was at the German market the other night and resisted (mainly cos I'd gone with a tiny amount of cash so I couldn't be tempted!) don't know if I'll be so good next time though.

Good news - SS have already found me a carer! I need to ring her now, then if I think she's ok we can meet and get things sorted. And cos she already works for someone else she can start pretty much straight away instead of waiting for the CRB check to come through! It'll still be done, but the one for her current person is enough to get by for a few weeks.

And, I've just booked a holiday! 3 nights in Barcelona in Feb, £20 for the flights (damn charge for paying) and £27 for the hostel with 5% cashback. I can't wait!

Gosh it's quiet in here again.....

Sally - Hope you have a lovely weekend.

I didn't make it back to bed, instead I dusted and hoovered the entire house and did all the stairs and skirtings with the attachments! (I have 3 flights of stairs so it took blummin' ages.)

Then DH and I sat and watched a chirstmas film whilst I did some wrapping, tree looked a bit bare without anything underneath it.

Need to get some dinner going in a bit and then get a head start on tomorrow as we all need to leave the house at 7.30

Not much of a difference between the two!

I've done a couple of bursts of housework so the place is looking just about presentable again. Anyway, if anyone came in I'm sure they'd be too distracted by the 7 boxes of chocs on the coffee table to notice anything else! Need to do some washing though.

Cheers Squizz, I've just spoken to the carer and she seems really nice!

It's amazing what a difference one phonecall and half an hour online can do, it's cheered me up no end from this morning!

    That's brilliant.

Off home now for a nice relaxing evening and a last bit of interview swotting up - lots of positive MSE vibes at 10.45am tomorrow would be much appreciated! ;)

Have a nice night everyone x
