M&S price glitch: 75% off alcohol gifts!

There is a 48Hour delay on HDN orders, so those of you that haven't yet received yours, please dont panic.

I emailed M&S regarding no order updates on Track and Trace and the fact 2 packages were involved.......I wasnt gonna pay 10p a minute to ring to find out what was going on so emailed M&S.
They have credited me with £5 and sent the following info.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't yet received these items from your order and for any upset this may have caused you. This wasn't up to our usual standard of service and i can assure you we're looking into it. As a gesture of goodwill I've issued a £5 promotion to your account which will be discounted off your next online order.

I've looked into your query and after calling our delivery team i can confirm that your parcels had been sent to the incorrect depot on 7/12/09. Our team confirmed they have a 48 hour work delay and as your parcel was on it's way to the correct depot you can expect delivery between 10-11 December 2009. Our delivery times are between 7am-7pm.

I hope this information helps and that you'll continue to shop with us confidently this festive season.

Well I am confused. Did not get the glitch (as I spotted it too late) but ordered the whiskey set for £6, along with some candles and school uniform stuff for the girls. I did use the 10% code and Dec code so £50 order was reduced down to almost half price. Original delivery date 9th Dec, had an email at 2am advising now 20th?? All the school stuff was in stock, cannot believe they are waiting for everything to come in, especially as it is all still in stock on line.

Just phoned to cancel the book and candle stuff as they were for presents that needed posted and secret santa at work.

So its not just the glitch orders they are mucking around with - its the standard ones too.

Oh and be warned we ordered our £650 telly from them last year, came with free blue ray. They took part of the payment and then contacted me 2 months later as they had not taken the other part and needed to go through the payment process again. Then 6 months later they took the whole £650 payment from my card again. Those who think they got a bargain be warned it may just come back to bite you on the bum!
