Ahhh thats better
Mookie, DD has played with the house all night!0 -
We only managed to get Num Nums and a home made 'crash pad' instead of a bed, but it has been a real hit with our daughter.
She has been looking for a house since boxing day - won't believe that the shops don't have them in yet - and feels that Num Nums needs a friend.
It's her birthday next week, but no accessories stock due anywhere until after the big day as far as I can tell. We're still not willing to pay inflated prices, so she'll just have to wait a bit longer.0 -
My niece has 2 hamsters and a house from Xmas but would like to get some other bits for her birthday soon. Where is the best place to start the search? Looking for a wheel and a ball0

Find me a gift has the accessories available to pre-order at rrp, they are due to arrive mid January
We got the ball, I queued up from 06.30 to get it at TRU and it's the worst thing ever ... the hamster constantly falls over in it !!
We finally replaced our original batteries today and I've never seen them go so fast, so funny too !!! Jilly is still our favourite, she seems to get cuterSealed Pot Challenge Member 1273VSP 2011 Member 92 - 723.070 -
Hi All :hello:
Happy New Year!!!
Well, here’s my verdict on the go go hamsters:
I didn’t see most of my friends and relatives kids over xmas so didn’t see them open their hammie things. However, I got feedback from a few of them. The interesting thing was that most didn’t even mention the ball (I’d got most 2 hammies, 2 beds, a house and a ball) and I know from the 5 kiddies I did see over xmas that the ball wasn’t even played with. I think the house posed more interest. If I’d know that I could have sold all the balls when they were going for £40 on ebay in the early days!!!
J age 4, who I did see on xmas day, didn’t even know what a go go hamster was. We took his 2 hammies into my mum’s kitchen so he could play with them on the tiled floor, all he wanted to do was race them, but obviously even if you start them off at the same time, you can’t race them as they go off in different directions. M age 3 had his 2 hammies running around the whole of his grannies house which is all laminated floors much to her horror as she was terrified of them! When his mum rang me to thank me, M was holding the hammie and put it on her head, which meant the call had to be cut short cos her hair got all tangled in its wheels!
S age 2 ½ decided to take over their coffee table with her house and wouldn’t let them move it! E age 1 was a bit too young to appreciate the house etc, so they’ll keep those things till she’s a little older but she loved having the hammies scooting around the carpet as she sat in the middle of them. H age 2 ½ opened the big bag with all the stuff in and peered inside. She was confronted with Chunk, whose box was positioned so its nose faced upwards, and shouted excitedly to everyone “its a mouse!!!”. I wasn’t there but my parents were and they said it was hilarious.
F and H aged 4 (not twins, 10 months between them) had the whole set between them. So I saw them on the bank holiday Monday after xmas and I’d had divided all the stuff into 2 huge boxes which I had wrapped up. Their eyes were on stalks when the saw the size of the boxes! F got into her box first and screamed “its go go hamsters!!!”, poor H couldn’t get her box open and was desperate to see if she had some too! So anyway, they pulled everything out and me and their mum got the hammies out first so they could play with them whilst putting everything else together. Trouble was they kept putting the hammies into the half put together things, which made it difficult for us to get them together – not that they are easy to fit together anyway, it was a bit of a pain trying to fit some of the joints!
Once everything was set up they were straight in there playing with it and the funny thing was that one of the hammies went straight into the garage and it came scooting out in the car across the carpet, which was a big hit! I think the main frustrating thing we found, apart from putting them together, was keeping the bits together cos the girls kept knocking the set with their knees when they were playing around it and also the garage kept falling apart like everyone else has found! Like the others, the ball was also a one minute wonder, then they didn’t bother with it again. Oh and H looked at me and said “we need the scissors my hair’s stuck” and sure enough, it was well tangled up in the hammie wheels. Luckily I managed to pull it out without her losing too much off the ends, but Mr Squiggles now looks like he has some 'personal' hair LOL!
I’d still love 2 gets some outfits for the hammies for the kids birthdays this year but that will have to wait till they become available over here (the new range is on this website which i've posted about before http://www.toywiz.com/zhuzhupets.html.
I heard that TRU had got some ZHU ZHU branded hamsters in just before xmas. I was dying to go and get my friend Jill the pink one cos its called Jilly, but the day they got them in she was shopping with me so I couldn’t go and get one. Went the next day but they only had nugget, scoodles and winkie – Jilly had sold out. Never mind, I’ll just have to wait till they come in again. Then she can have her own hammie when playing with F and H. Then again, with there already being 4 hammies on the set, it is somewhat crowded already LOL.
My Chunk is still being useful for dusting the skirting boards – he seems to like following them around the room! And of course, I still love him...:smileyhea:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -

thank you for all your help in my search and it sounds like the hamsters were a big hit for all :j we had a near scissors incident too !! I got Jilly the weekend before xmas and she is fab, such a cutie and she blows random kissesI spoke to Fenwicks this morning and they are hoping to get some new stock in by the end of the month/beginning of Feb although probably just hamsters to begin with.
I saw the boat and dock on amazon for 40.00 but can't justify it at the minute but really want the stroller and a couple of babies for dd, they look cute !!!
Can't wait to start the search again
