MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO EVERYONE, for the first time in years i am going to be all done by teatime and going to be able to sit down and enjoy Xmas eve. I have tried for years and something allways gets in the way. HOORAY. Have a lovely Christmas and all the best for the New Year to you all.

I know it's been asked before I'm sure but for those of you that have actually had the hammies out to play, how well do they work on carpets?

I have the original 4 and had a quick look at the instructions and it said don't use on carpet. We have very shortpile carpet and the hall has laminate flooring.

Do they work ok ish on carpet or is it a no no ?

My son just has Num Nums and it runs about on our carpet fine.

I found that my 9 month also enjoys it more than my 3 year old who I bought it for.

I just wanted to say thank you to all my fellow hamster hunters. I have had great fun as well as frustration in tracking down these items and you lot have been great company along the way. I hope my 3 daughters have as much fun playing with them when they open it all tomorrow.

a big thank you to everyone who made it possible for Santa to get dd a couple of gogo hamsters, a funhouse and a ball ... I even picked up Jilly last weekend thanks to this thread so thankyou to everyone. I've enjoyed the chat and the frantic searching although I didn't really enjoy queueing outside of TRU from 6.30 but at least Santa has done good :xmassmile

We gave my daughter he hamster today (couldn't wait)! It works fine on our medium pile carpet.

Your kids are going to love them as she hasn't put it down all day!!!
