Hamsters definitely a success (11 yo recipient) although the noises they make have been irritating me a teeny bit as they've been scuttling around the house all day...
  • Agreed, my daughter is having an AMAZING time with her hammies - BUT - big annoyance is that one of the connectors has broken - can you buy spares?
Hope everyone is having a super Christmasxxxxxxx

    Happy Xmas everyone.

My boys love their hamsters and everything fitted together fine. All the bits work great when the hammies have fresh batteries in them.

They are much better then i thought they would be but when it is all connected together it is rather huge!!!

HINT: When you have it all don't use the middle connectors for the house to connect to the other house as the other bits need space - use one of the outer connecters of each part of the house to connect it together and the middle and other side one for the extra bits like the wheel, uturn and slide and garage etc.

Hope you all have had a fab day.

I shall look out for the new hammies in the New Year but not worried if i don't get them as the 4 i have are enough.
Cost of this Hamster Hunt (inc postage):
    2 x Num Nums - £36.70, 1 x Chunk £13.50, 1 x Chunk £15.50, Slide £26.89, House £25.94, Car £14.99, Ball £9.99, Surfboard £9.99, Skateboard £9.99, Wheel £24.19 TOTAL:£187.68

A big thanks to you MSE'ers - especially Maximouse :A

well my sleepdome is missing a clip, have stuck it together with sticky tape!

ours is missing too!! over all I am reatively pleased with the hamster set, although our Pip keeps getting stuck going up the ramp to the spiral slide - he also seems to favour the wheel quite a bit. Also the sleep dome I take it it connects to the end of the wavy path? and then the skate board and surf board are just extras for the hamster to run around on on the floor?

I think its all a bit flimsy and when I think it all cost well over £100 for the lot plus all the hassle getting it, I do think was it worth it lol

Hammies, house and ball a great success here!!!! Am I right on how they work -back button for them to run around
    - head button for cuddling (but not sure what they are supposed to do?)
    - nose button for noises?

Ball works great! Haven't had any probs with the stabiliser clipon thing...it is staying on and the hammies are going everwhere!

Now just need to get some addons and the hammie house is a bit crowded with four hammies in it....they keep bumping into each other and causing a riot! :)

Okay...I'm back...Pipsqueak seems to be having some difficulties.....there seems to be a very high pitch yet sort of quiet screeching sound coming out of her and her running around is rather poor.....if you hold her on her back the wheels don't really turn. I'm wondering if the batteries are wearing out already? Are the batteries they come with just very short life batteries for testing only?

Hammies a big hit here too. Anyone else had problems with the garage? Have had to tape the roof onto ours - otherwise it pops off and the doors fall off...
