  • Ours are a real hit - so glad I got the Spanish sets with the slide and wheel.
  • hammies are a fantastic hit, thanks to everyone on here. We had the spanish set deliver the day before christmas eve, the deluxe house, the sleepdome and surfboard and the ball. Of them all, the one I wanted least is now the one I like to see the hammies (we have Pipsqueak, Squiggles, El Patches and Gilly) go round in which is the wheel. Love to see them go up and down the slide too.

Can't find a way of linking the spanish half a house to the main house, has anyone else found a way?

  • Our go go hamster doesn't go go... :( he makes all the appropriate noises but no movement from his wheels...

No idea what we can do with him either, we bought him from smyths before all the hype and have no receipt... Hubby's regretting not flogging him on eBay for an extortionate amount now lol...

We had this last night with our Mr Squiggles and changed his batteries to duracell and he was fine and faster than he was when we first got him out of his box..... hope this helps. Got to be worth a try.

Two very happy 2 and a half year old boys in our house with two hamsters and the playhouse:j
  • Not had any faults with any of mine. Except Chunk appeared to be on crack and went 3x faster than all the other hamsters lol.

I am in so much pain with my knee operation and yet this made me laugh, thanks for this.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

Hamsters have been a great success in our house, we put it all together, then realised the linking pieces needed to be a certain way round(see the arrows!) for the hamsters to know where they were in the house-LOL-so turned them all round the right way and now works much better!! Only problem seems to be with the wheel, ours cant get out again are they supposed to & if so do they come out backwards/forwards?
    Thanks guys.x
  • The hamsters have been a hit here too. My dd likes the slide the best, chunk makes a great noise on the wheel (which makes dd laugh), we had problems with Mr S earlier (he was making sounds but not moving) but he's now ok, Chunk has gone missing and i have no idea where he's gone.

I was a little worried about the car as it had poor reviews, we opened it today and it seems to work fine (no problems with the doors).

Mine comes out fine and fowards. Also thanks for advise for the connectors, I wondered why mine were a bit random in places trying to go backards, never noticed. I'll get DH to change them tonight as I lost the rag with it many a time lol.

Lmaooo, we lost pipsqueak within about 20mins. I think one of the cats has ran off with her lol.

Merry xmas all. Haven't been on in weeks and spent that time in hospital due to some git spiking my drink:mad: Got out on xmas eve

Go Go pets are a hit in the household though I'm a bit suspicious about my slide! I seem to have 2 parts of the actual slide that are slide B (C) and the ramp is also Ramp B(C) Have A and D. Is anyone else's the same?
The thing is huge set up and yes I have to admit we are both still up playing with Go Go pets:o:rotfl:

Our slide was exactly the same. Took a bit of time to put together (especially after a couple of glasses of bubbly lol!). I found the legs a bit tricky to put on too.

The hamsters have been a huge hit with all three of our children. I was surprised how much they liked them. I think it helps if you have most of the add ons as then it gives the hamsters more variety. We have the slide, car, wheel, surfboard, skateboard and the ball. They are set up on the floorboards as the hamsters hated the carpet!

If you are reading this board to try and decide what accessories to buy I would try and get the add ons rather than the playsets. The slide is good as the hamsters stop at various stages on it and make noises. The car is fun although the hamster has to be positioned correctly for it to work properly but the hamsters look really funny in it. The wheel is good but we do find we have to rescue the hamsters frequently as they don't seem to be able to stop themselves and move backwards out of it. I wouldn't bother with the skateboards or surfboards. The hamsters don't seem to move very far on them. The ball is made of very thin plastic and I can't see it lasting very long as ours seems to come apart quite easily and each time it is put together the plastic bits that slot together look as if they are chipping.

Quality wise the set gets a 5/10 but funwise it is a 9/10 here.

    Hi

Yes mine was the same, we were putting ours together on Xmas Eve about 11.30pm just after the kids fell asleep, found it all rather tricky, we left the wheel and still haven't put it together yet.
