Im gutted for those who have had their orders cancelled.

I collected mine this afternoon and all was well had a skateboard and surfboard x

JL should have had the courtesy to contact buyers and explain to them before they travelled to stores etc because this incurs costs as well as wasted time. All they had to do was send an apologetic email stating that there had been a shortage of playsets and that they were happy to substitute with hamsters. They could have said that if this was not suitable then you could contact them to arrange a refund.

Why is it that such large retailers have messed up in such a big way and yet the smaller stores have shown excellent customer service. Poor Mr Cuddy sepnt 3 days or so phoning every customer to explain that he'd ran out of stock and had to cancel/change orders. A mass email from JL doesn't seem to be asking much.

Sorry for all you guys who were disappointed today- I think it's simply not good enough on the part of JL. xx

Is it worth me phoning before I go to fetch it do you think? Will they be able to tell me? Och, I was so excited to get at least one add on for the fun house *sigh*

Having been off the hamster scene for a while now a friend has just text to ask where the best place is to get hold of hammy things! :rolleyes:

My first thought...ebay!

Don't have time to read through the recent happenings on the thread but I am assuming the actual hamsters are still possible to obtain from Argos etc...? or has that stock dried up too?

The accessories I'm assuming are as when I was looking for my children still impossible

I plan to direct her to the stockchecker but can anyone fill me in on whether the hamsters themselves are still possible to get hold of at rrp?

If it were me I'd definately phone ahead to save a potentially wasted journey xx

Did anyone that received Hamsters instead of Playsets actually hold onto them instead of leaving them at the collection desk? Just wondering I think maybe we should have because now we are left empty handed, just waiting around for a refund and the goodwill gesture!?!?!?!
