I havent had an announcement on the new that someone thinks the paint on my wall now might harm my kids
I really would not want to think that in 30 -40 years time one of my kids was diagnosed with a cancer ,I would be wondering .....what if ?!
Noone believed asbestos was that harmful ,it was all scaremongering and hell everything has asbestos in anyway and because the effect cant be seen for many years it could be caused by anything ?

I don't think goodguide actually care unless it's something huge like gogo hamsters where they could possibly ruin everyones christmas.

If any mums follow Goodguide, I feel sorry for their kids lol.

End of the day, your choice. Your risk. Don't ruin it for everyone else.

  • Have you seen the side effects listed on piriton syrup. It lists everything except instant death. I would rather give my daughter 5ml of mr squiggles twice a day rather than piriton

3 children in my daughters class have died of cancer including my daughter. They all died in there 20s. Nobody can give me an answer as to why they got it.

I think the point is that pretty much all the toys in my kid's toy box is coming up as 'unsafe'. Slightly o/t, but I am actually allergic to wallpaper paste so joking aside, sitting close to the wall is far more harmful to me, personally.

When my eldest was tiny, I was over-protective mum, but gave up when I started looking at the safety reports on the main brands. They're now saying the bottles she used were unsafe - not a lot I can do about it 5 years on!

To think - we were all worried about cheap imports a couple of years ago - turns out it's the high brands we should be watching out for.
  • I'm coming off this thread now.

I wish you all the best with your hamster hunt. But I can't watch people moan all over it and bring up things about people dying when they probably haven't.

    Darn attenion seeking....

  • I for 1 am keeping my go go hamster 2 give 2 my daughter on christmas day unless they get recalled. Watched the news and had a few e-mails 2 say they r perfectley safe and the manufacturers r not gonna risk selling these if they r dangerous they would b sued for millions of pounds. The stuff that is in these hamsters is in loads of toys and everyday things like mattrasses and sofas.
