    I got on there today but it didn't show the account list but could go into my accounts

    It is probably because it is the first banking day of the year.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
    I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.

    I think it's more likely to be system upgrades for this: http://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/rewards.asp which was introduced today.

    I wonder how long it took some bright spark on their IT support desk to ask if they'd tried switching it off & on again? :D

    I was able to access my Halifax account a couple of minutes ago so it looks like Halifax online may slowly be up and running again, however, I can't access my Barclays account yet.

    It's astonishing how reluctant institutions are to be honest about self inflicted problems.

    As post #46 rightly observes - Halifax appear to have been working on some rather odd additions to selected interest rates ..... and which only appeared (or tried to) this morning :-

    ........ bit too coincidental that's not a significant part of an outage I've rarely seen with Halifax.

    Don`t know what they`ve been doing but all their savings rates are still crap.

    I can log into Halifax online and I can see my account balances if I click on them (despite there it saying unavailable under each account name) but I can't do any transfers between my accounts. The "quick transfer" facility has disappeared - I can only transfer out to external accounts which is not what I want to do. :(

    I think its terrible - Halifax online banking has been broken since at least 9am this morning - it really should have been fixed by now.
